Is the release of VF4 EVO for PS2 in 13th March the release date for the Japanese version only? Do we have to wait for a few more months for the US version? I'd hate to have to wait some more time for this game...

Yes, March 13th is Japan-only. No date is yet set for either US or European release.

If it does arrive in the US, hopefully it won't take as long as it took T4 to arrive...

Version C for PS2 came out in the US after, um, 2 months or so after the Japanese release? I think January & March... In Europe it took longer, May - as far as I remember, don't bash me if the dates are wrong :>

    Yep, you were right.

    VF4 Releases:
    1/31/2002 - Japan VF4
    3/20/2002 - US VF4
    5/10/2002 - Europe VF4

SEGA I think will have VF4E out here by Early June to catch the people getting out of school, which is usually a big game buying season. I'm importing it anyway, so I'm not worried. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

*The thing about NAMCO (Tekken) if you check there history it takes around 6 months for a stateside release of any of their games.

Why be worried at all? The game WILL come out in the US/Europe. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif Sega has never been too slow with their non-japanese releases; I, for instance, don't have to play the game THE DAY IT'S RELEASED for the first time - unlike some people I know.

As far as I know I do not have an Evo machine anywhere even remotely near me, so I want to play the game pretty bad. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

True, but then again in the past they didnt need aproval from the hardware side since they had theyre own hardware, and regardles of that sometimes Sega games were published by third parties simply becouse SoA or SoE couldnt be bothered.
The release of Sega games in the west became a lot more complivated an isseu since they went third party.

Two months won't kill you /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Why would the Evo western release take longer than C?

I never said releasing games is simple; who knows what's happening 'backstage' or so to speak. Let's just hope there won't be any trouble with Evo. Does anyone care about other games anyway? /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif Yah, yah, I know...

Mainly because there is more stuff to translate. 500 player profiles and the whole quest mode is more complex than Kumite.
Trainingmode is deeper as well (guess I know what I'll have to do once I get the game /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: player profiles... is this supposed to be each player's bio? Or just the name being suited to 'western reality'? /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif As for the whole translation job, it's not that hard, nor time consuming - I'm an interpreter/translator myself, so you can trust me on this. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif
