Aoi really needed an edge on Akira. There were several moves of Akira's that were extremely effective, but unreversable. I don't think they are screwing him, just evening the field ya know?

I would have really liked to see an air catch throw. She does [6][K] or [3][P] on a major counter and maybe [9][P]+[G] to grab them out of the air.

My friend told me that Aoi's[P][K] has 2 frames advantage when it hits now perhaps [4][3][P]+[K] is uninteruptable after [P][K] hits.

BTW what does[2_][4][P]+[G] do I have neve seen it.

Actually 1more question GP have you noticed whether
    [4][3][P]+[K] hits mid or special-mid??

As far as I know [4][3][P]+[K] is only mid. It's also one handed, so reversable by other characters I *ASSUME*. It works pretty well to do after a one-hit [P]. Command would be [P][4][3][P]+[K]. [4][3][P] isn't used a lot, but it does stagger, and is faster than the new move, so isn't bad.

Shun's [6][P][P] I think is reversalbe in Ver. C -- at least the first part, but maybe not the 2nd. Anyway's, Lei Fei's [2][P]+[K]+[G][P][P]+[K] is very easily reversable -- you reverse it the same as any other mid-reversal. [4][6][P]+[K] is of course high.

I've not reversed Wolf's shoulder, but it's definitly reversable.

So, there is no new command for reversing double fisted strikes, shoulders, and backs?

    New Aoi Reverse Commands:

    Against Double-fists [4][P]+[K], [1][P]+[K]
    Against Double-kicks [4][P]+[K], [1][P]+[K], [2][P]+[K]
    Against Shoulder [1][P]+[K]
    Against Head [1][P]+[K], [2][P]+[K]
    Against Back [1][P]+[K]

Well, those aren't new commands. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif
Each one changes depending on where the attack hits. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

THe only one that looks peculiar is the double kick listed as a high reversal [4][P]+[K]. Lei Fei's is mid, as is Sarah's, and Shun's & Wolf's are low. Does anyone know of a high one? Wolf also has a mid, but I can't recall anyone with a high.

Also -- a low head attack? I know Jeffry & SHun have mids, but I thought those were the only ones in the game. Am I missing something? All back attacks (Akira, Shun, Lei FEi) are mid, hence the mid-reversal command.

Jeff when he's getting off the floor face down head towards for low headbutt i think.

Optimus Prime: One shall stand, one shall fall.
Megatron: Why throw away your life so recklessly?
Optimus Prime: That's a question you should ask yourself, Megatron.

Always thought that one was mid, but I could stand to be corrected. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Wolf's [9][G]+[K] is the only high double kick that I can think of.

[Comment of EVO AOI from an adept HK AOI player]

    Old Moves
[K] - execution faster, counter hit with floating effect
[P][K] - the last kick becomes a uplift kick, like [K]
[3][K] - range shorter than Version C, faster recovery
[6][6][P]+[K] - no longer an elbow, a long-range Mid punch, fast execution, with advance-forward effect
    [6][6][P]+[K][P] - Combo suggestion: [6][K]~ (Counter, opponent floating) [P]~[6][6][P]+[K][P]

    New Moves

[4][P] - fast exec., full spin punch, short range, Blocked: disadvantage but may move to TenChinyou stance)
[2][K] - short range, low kick while standing, good for close combat
[K]+[G] - slow exec., advance-forward effect, full spin kick, Up hit
[4][3][P]+[K] - Counter hit: stomachache effect, finish by [6][K][K]
[2][3][6][P]+[K] - sabaki effect, mid range, advance-forward, Counter hit: stomachache effect
[P]+[K] (While Up) - Mid attack, Hit effect: staggering, against Crouch Guard after:
    (i) [P][P][P][2][K],
    (ii) [2][K]+[G][G] (Cancel)

Conclusion: Mid attacks have been enforced, mid-range moves in majority. Activating mid-range attack become the prime tactics of AOI.

    Long range attack: [2][K]+[G]
Advance-forward attack: use new advance-forward moves to close the range
Point Blank: Use [G] to confuse the opponent then use 2-option follow-ups wisely: regular attack or throw
Against strong chars: Use reverse attack
Against Down attack: Use [P]+[K] against little down attack

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I don't quite understand that -- her [P]+[K] is a high attack.

Also, i'm not 100% sure (about 90% sure though) that [2][3][6][P]+[K] does not give a stomach ache on counter -- only gives a stomach ache when the sabaki effect happens, which kind of sucks.

I think he means while rising i.e. crouch then leave the stick neutral and press[P]+[K]

[2][K]short range, low kick while standing, good for close combat

In that case what has happened to her old d+k? is it still executable by [2_] [K]??

What is the hit level of the sabaki attack? high or mid?

  19. GaijinPunch

    GaijinPunch Well-Known Member

Yeah, old d+k is [2_][K] I believe. It does get a bit confusing though. The new [2][K] is very quick. Nice way to finish someone off.

The Sabaki is a mid attack. It's the same command as Lei Fei's, with similar properties from what I can tell, although I don't know exactly what it Sabaki's besides punches. It has a noticeably less execution time though.

Will the good news ever stop coming?

[3][P]+[K] hits on counter - low throw guaranteed!
