VF4 MidAtlantic (esp. VA)

I've been wondering... how many MidAtlantic VF4 players do we have? Here in Southwest Virginia, we've got a pretty good crew, including:

Me - Pai
Fireballtrap - Jacky
Iceman - half the roster
D - Lau
Lee - Lei Fei
Mark - Sarah/Lion

Our main problem right now is lack of outside comp. If any of you guys would like to come in, or if there are some locals out there who are just hiding, we'd really appreciate the competition.

Also, if any of you know of any machines around the area, PLEASE let us know!

 

Sup crew - I live in northern virginia. Is there a VF4 machine in virginia, or do you play on the PS2?

In any case I'd love to visit, where are you?

 

Couple of us down in TN would definitely like to head up to Roanoke to play. See if we can organize something to get people in the region to play. /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

Firstly, we play on the PS2, since our only VerB machine in nearby Lynchburg got taken out.

Secondly, and most importantly, tomorrow the 18th is a little short notice. It'd be great to have you guys come in, but I don't know if I can make it really worthwhile.

Instead, I suggest we decide on a day a few weeks in advance on which a bunch of MidAtlantic players can come in. (heh, MAG1...)

I'm good pretty much anytime; I just need to know a little while in advance to set things up.

hi! yeah, four days isn't a lot of notice. On the other hand big gatherings require several TV's and PS2's so people don't get kept waiting. I think I've always had the most fun with 4-6 ppl. But in any case, I'm down for anything. Wednesday was the last day I could do it before the holidays though, so do you have a date past jan. 1st in mind?

half the roster? lol, not quite /versus/images/icons/grin.gif Kage/Sarah/Wolf is the most accurate description. I'm not sure I can make the 4th yet. Gotta see when my girlfriend wants to move back to college and if she'll need my help, since i have a truck.

At the moment it's free, unless it happens that I contract the horrid disease that strikes down many VFers in the prime of their life (a job).

 

Count me in. At the moment the other more pleasant disease that cuts down VFers (a girlfriend) has told she'll be busy that saturday /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

 

All right, the 4th is looking very good. All I need to do is secure the venue. I'm guessing we'll probably have at least two PS2s and TVs there.

 

Is this thing happening or not? Who's coming and who isn't? I need to know if I should put the games i got for X-mas on hold in order to practice VF4 /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

PS: btw, Matt, you forgot to mention Josh (Lau/Vanessa). He's always up for comp, but being he still lives at home and his parents don't let him travel much (he's yet to come to VT) /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

 

Sorry about the lag. I'm working on the finalizing the location right now. I just had an AIM convo with Iceman about an hour ago, and we're getting close. As of right now, it looks like we'll have two TVs and PS2s going. To shake any concerns, though...

I will defninitely try to have finalized info up by Thursday night.

P.S. Fireballtrap expressed interest in also having a Dreamcast there playing imports, so that means you guys can bring your 2D-lovin peeps.

 

It appears the meeting place has been moved to my appartment, which is not in Roanoke but instead is in Blacksburg. That adds just under an hour to the nova crew's drive and takes off just under and hour from Tennesse's drive. So I need to know asap who is coming? Tennessee, how many you guys bringing? Nova, how about you? FBT and Gndalf need to tell me if they'll even make it. If they don't make it, I don't see to point of asking you guys to drive 4-6 hours just to play ME and ME alone, being I am mediocre and play VF very sporadically /versus/images/icons/grin.gif Let me know as soon as possible who's in, and I'll post directions to my appartment later tonight. I'll try to check back before 8:00 and again after 11 or so.

 

sup ... blacksburg is confirmed? That's 4 hours, I should be game to make it there.

Is this a one day thing or is there sleeping over possibility?
