VF4Evo -> VF5FS changes (mostly on throws)

    Hi all. I started playing VF with that little gem that is the VF4Evo port for PS2, and even if I had zero human competition, I enjoyed it a lot just by practicing and playing Quest mode (on easy -_-).

    Now, considering VF5FS price tag, completeness, and good online play, I picked it up without a doubt. As before, and because of my former Judo training, I picked Goh, and found him absolutely different than what I remembered! Specially, most throws changed, the animations were different and there was only two ending directions! I was a bit shocked, how could a grappler have only 2 throw directions? Then I read that all throws in the game now are only 2 directions also. So, here's my first question:

    - I haven't read it anywhere but I'm suspecting it a lot: Only one throw escape input is valid now, right? It's the only thing that makes sense with the universal reduction of throw directions.

    Also, regarding throws, I know the execution time changed from VF4Evo to VF5, but I don't know if it changed again for VF5FS, so the question is:

    - What's the execution time for throws now? So that I know against which attacks I can go for a guaranteed one.

    Finally, on evade attacks and offensive move attacks. Offensive moves are new to me, having only played VF4Evo before, but I think I understand the concept and purpose well, so that's not a problem. But the VF5 system guide mentions dodge and OM attacks, doing by inputting [P] or [K] while in the middle of one of those. Are they gone now?

    I think that's all, but I'll keep bothering you guys for a while with more questions, I'm afraid [IMG]

    Thanks in advance!

    Ah, I looked for that, but couldn't find it. Thanks!

    I like the changes to throws: less emphasis on execution and more on yomi is always a good thing in my book.

    No problem. I like the new throw system a lot more. The throw game is actually crazier, because no matter how good your execution is, you need to see where the match is going, even that much more.

    I still feel MTEs should make a comeback, as not all the top players even use more than 1TE but it's cool having that option.
