VF4EVO-Which rank is first color change given?

I thought I would get my first color change at 5th kyu so i was playing like a madman today but got nothing at 5th... so i thought hmm maybe 4th? so i played furiously more and about 10 mins before arcade closed i got 4th Kyu... still no color change UGH, btw i use AOI.

 

Strange that your color didn't change.

There are two numbers under your percentage points. One counts up from zero, that number represents experience points. The other counts down from 500, that's the number of plays you have left on your card. When your experience points surpass 500, you get a color change. When your experience points pass 1000 they disappear and you get another color change.

We're you playing against CPU, people without cards, or people with cards? I don't know if that matters. Maybe someone else does.

 

well i had been playing byran, mike, and andy on wed and at the end of the night i had gotten 6th kyu so roughly 400 pts. Today i played against cpu and got to 500pts but it didn't show a "ranking" match title when i got my 5th kyu. Then i kept playing and when i was about to reach 4th kyu i played my friend paul who arrived late and that time it did show the ranking match title. Is it just aoi who doesn't get a color? or do cpu points count differently? I already get much less points for playing against cpu, its like 1pt per opponent. ugh this is frustrating
