    I still get giddy...

except when i hear that guy in the back ground (when 'the legends' comes up) " virtua 2,3, 4 ,5 ; i just dont wanna play it "

    major US sentiment I believe

I listened carefully once and I heard "3, 4, 5...you know like...I don't still wanna...you know...". Really difficult to make out what he says and what he means with it. But why should we care about what anonymous spectator 1 has to say?

not that we should care (because i've heard this all the time),, just an observation . Especially for those that said the insane graphics will draw more people in. Nay sayers will never be converted.
again only an observation from what can be the best graphics .. and the only comments that would be of notice (im sure someone will write about it) is how some people dont want to play.

I think you're half right MADrox. I think the graphics (which are sublime) are all but guaranteed to turn heads and hook the odd passer-by. However, it's not until they actually put their money in the machine, mash their way to victory in the first match then get soundly trashed in the third where they'll convince themselves that the game's too much work and go elsewhere. Still, Sega got their money.

I really like the trailer; it's slick and well crafted. From what I've seen of the character and stage selection menus I'm really impressed by Sega's presentation of this version. VF has always lacked the "flash" of its rival and it’s been to its detriment in my opinion.

With VF5 we have not only better looking characters and stages but also more attractive, hipper ones too. The customisation options back in VF4 were a nice touch but they were too out there in my opinion. With VF5 we now have the hardware that can feasibly portray a wide range of clothing materials and styles whether it's denim, leather or silk. And best of all; it's all interchangeable!

VF is the best because of its depth, but as you know; that same strength is hard to appreciate at first. Better graphics more gloss and slick camera angles are just what this series needs to grease the wheels as it were and entice more players beyond that initial experimental game.

Sega is never going to compromise on VF's gameplay so all these bells and whistles can do nothing but good for the series.
