VF5 Exhibition Matches (Xbox 360 disc)

A few of my favorite exhibition matches on the VF5 disc:

Ever wish you could just go on youtube and watch some of the replays on your VF5 disc? There are some really good VF5 matches on there and if you're like me and like to look at a few of these from time to time then you may also find that when you get home you'd rather play than look at replays.

That's why I decided to upload some of these matches on youtube. And also to promote VF5 for 360.

If any of you guys have requests about certain VF5 disc exhibition matches that you would like to see me upload just ask here and I will eventually get around to uploading all your favorites.

 

Yea man, some of them Exhibition Matches are dope. I like kickin back n watching them sometimes too.

I don't have my Xbox but the ones that I thought/remember were nasty was the Akira vs Akira and Akira vs Sarah.

I remember when I first got this game I thought that (the exhibition matches) was the cpu fighting each other on expert up in the named Ranks to show what you'll be up against when you get there lol. I was like "dam the cpu aint fuckin playin!" It's posted here somewhere hahah.

I haven't really watched any other characters cause I don't use em, but this might help me peep em out though. Great idea to post some of these man, they truly have some great matches in there.

 

A random thought deseres another (i've been thinking about for a week now). Apologies for the hijack tony but, as you'll see, the two random thoughts can be combined So here goes:

We should create a series of "Match of the Day" threads. A video is linked. Everybody comments on it, pointing things out, good or bad. Preferably with names withheld to protect homo-geniuses. The next day the thread is locked and we create a new one posting another vid. As long as its new its fine. On slow days one of the VF5 replays is posted.

This would keep interest sparked without people getting personal. I think that - as long as we rotate quickly enough - individual VFDCers sensibilities might be offended a bit less. People might actually start re-uploading vids.

Some more arguments in favour of daily rotation:

* It's been 2 years since VF5 is out, there's enough videos on youtube to keep things going for a while.
* We'd be alternating discussion subjects more - see the recent thread about akira's bodycheck on how that gets old quick.
* It'd be fun finding/posting vids without the opponent's names and guessing who's who.
* A day's worth of healthy namecalling is not bad - as long as it doesn't transform into a series of mutual insults spanning an entire week it might even incite VFDCers competitive spirit.

Of course some of you might interject that this kind of initiative is a wasted effort since "VF5 is dead". In that case, dunno, how about a "VF5FS match of the day thread"? I know fresh vids are posted in the "VF5FS videos thread" all the time but, other than, the occasional "bodycheck", "omg wolf's B throw is OP" and, dunno, "check X's new item" there's not much constructive commentary about the actual gameplay going on.

Just a thought.

PS: i knew the kage player would lose - i mean who does OM p instead of dm p+k anyway? Shun player showed him how it's done

Tha Feaucha, I will be uploading Ak VS Ak and Ak vs Sa soon. If you ever feel like checking out some of the other fights on the disc I suggest you check out the Goh and Eileen fights. Idk who the players are but they are beasts.

Erdraug, it's cool man, I just don't think that people want to talk about VF5 as much anymore. If we had done your idea back when the game first came out a lot more people could be chiming in and commenting. Ultimately though, that's what we use the shoutbox for anyway. I've seen a lot of cool info put up on the shoutbox sometimes. I wish we could go back and read old shoutbox posts. I wonder if there's already some kind of log that retains shoutbox posts up to about a week or something but only mods can see it.

Quick question just to clarify something for me:
Are the exhibition matches present on the vf5 disc actually human players or Cpu opponents? I was under the understanding that they were actual people.

 

Yes, they're actual people. Even when VF's cpu was at it's best (VF4 Evo) it could never play as good as the players in those exhibition matches do.
Supposedly Sega/AM2 decided to keep secret who those players actually are.

 

ah, thank you. a certain someone I know was convinced that on the hardest difficulty the CPU plays as well as those players in the exhibition matches, which led him to believe they were in fact, CPU opponents.

Cool mang, gracias. Yea I don't have my Xbox and won't get it back for maybe a few more weeks. I let my nephews borrow it, that's why I haven't been on VF lately. I'll keep them Goh and Leen matches in mind though. Goh looks pretty nasty in FS so I might have to start messin with him a lil.
