Speaking of Jean I haven't heard of anyone picking Jean much at all in these location tests so we don't really know what Jean can do in FS compared what he does in R. Are there any comprehensive vids of Jean in FS around showing everything new he has. I see a few here but not very many

Funny how most people when they get something that looks unbalanced or too powerful added to their character they hardly ever have something negative to say about it... unless it gets added to a character that's not their main or a sub, lol.

The only way that Body Check taking half life can be balanced is if on block the opponent gets a free back throw. It should also be -25 or more on block. And def not be a 13f mid, lol.

With all of the animation reworking, I'm kind of sad they didn't tweak the falling/floating animations for the rest of the cast. Taka's is so beautiful and natural looking. Maybe version b can fix this up (and fix the grounded prone and ko animations as well).

My god. Goh is absolutely vicious with his new move animations. He used to do judo throws for the sake of doing them. Then he started to mix in bone breaks. Now, his judo is geared around getting you into a position to slam your head off of things or stomp your face in. NASTY.

I digress (btw it's actually 18f due to buffering and most probably bodycheck is 14 for the same reason).

No there is no character with an elbowspeed (13/14) mid that does that type of damage. The closest would actually be... Akira himself. If you don't see the problem in VF's universe with a move like that that's your problem. One frame here and there make a TON of difference. I do, specially with throwclash removed and it being a shoulder. It can be a trillion on block and it would still be a problem (why would you care when you have 20hp left and it does half bar?). I dread to see this hitting in the back / side on top of that (lol crumble? lol wallhit low hitbox?).

Sigh. 'Realistic' and Virtua Fighter arguments shouldn't be allowed together. Just like fightinggames and 'chess'.

Yeah that sounds like a great suggestion. Don't learn nitaku and / or the game. Get a half bar ch tool which you can punish those spammers with! Are you for real? You can't handle strings so you definatly deserve a tool that makes opponents stop attacking you so you can throw them more. That's just great logic there.

P.S; If you want to have an argument for you can say it fits with the overall picture of Akira (cause it would be even MORE unbalanced if say jacky had this move) but...

He still needs a fucking full circle mid that executes in 15-16 frames, -6 on block and no stop animation though.

 

In vanilla VF5 if you get a sidehit with bodycheck its around 75 damage. Bodycheck (sidecrumple) -> -> . That said, I think its wrong to have a single move do that much damage, even though we know its a trillion on block (around -20(+) propably in FS, -24 in vanilla).
