Anyway, I used to be annoyed by El Blaze, but looking at his improvements, I'm rather interested in learning him now...

 

It's actually a Yoshi Tonic, not a Canadian Destroyer (I'm a big wrestling geek ). But anyway, it's a low throw from RD and that's beyond awesome.

Do we know if his old ++ catch throw is out in exchange for his new medium one (that comes out from a strange sidestep or something I don't know) or is it still there?

Umm... yeah, I know of those, and they are... not serpents. They may seem serpentine to the Westerners, but in Japanese they are called "ryuu" or "tatsu", while Sarah's (an American, story-wise) move is originally called "sa-pento kuro-" - serpent claw), not "ryuusou" - dragon claw (same as Akira's move, Byakkou, or Goh's move - Kirin are clearly referencing mythological creatures, this one is clearly not).

In short... it's much more probable that someone at AM2 fails biology and/or English, rather than them meaning "yeah so it's about those Asian dragons that kinda look like serpents with legs and whiskers-claw". So... yup, Walrus Wing .

 

Then, by your explanation of Westerners misunderstanding the finer points of the term serpent, it makes sense for Sarah to have misapplied the term.

 

But it's not a Westerner misunderstanding a term serpent, it's a non-native English speaker going "zomg dudes the name SERPENT CLAW is F$#^IN' METAL LET'S DOOO THIIIIIIIS"

Probably same way Goh's perfectly normal judo throw called sasae tsurikomi ashi ended ended up called "de ashi barai" - which is an existing technique, only... a totally different one... Someone had *some* idea, but apparently didn't really bother to double-check. Kinda funny actually... wonder if they fixed it in FS?

 

As a name it makes as much sense as "Monster emerald frozen" but who cares..

 

They took out the noises (or words) Akira makes when a reversal is a succsess I always loved the elbow reversal, OOHSAA! lol, and the knee reversal AHHMAHDAY! or whatever.

Brad vs Vanessa (new throw from Vanessa in 3rd round)


Did any of you notice that Brad in this vid took Wolf's old dialog "I won't go easy on you" during the intro. Aside from that, the new throw for Van is awesome

 

She gained it in R. Although from my experience, getting low kicked just doesn't happen in flamingo, because it's not as fast. But, things in her movelist probably make using a low kick to stop things, a viable option.

 

Second hit of Akira's + bounced in R so I think the splat is there in FS just cause there's no bounce in R.

That is an awesome buff for brad. I always felt he should get more damage from that.

 

Those speedos are pretty deadly as well ! Sarah has like 5 times more fabric on her... in a *bikini*.

I think Brad just topped that one swimmer from PJ as the nudest dude in fighting games! Crazy buff indeed , but at least we can see that despite ALL the evidence to the contrary, AM2 ain't sexist... or at least not chauvinistically so
