VF5 goes Platinum

Hell yeah is a good thing. More money for SEGA.

 

Does that mean it sold well or??? I'm confused. If they complained that VF5 didn't sell well on 360 then why would you re-release the game as part of a platinum hits collection? Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad they think there is still a market for the game but it just seems a little strange.

If they are going to release VF5 twice, then they know people like and will buy the game. Wouldn't that mean that they also understand we want VF5R even more? How hard is it to port these games from the arcade to 360? Is it prohibitively expensive?

I hope this is sign that SEGA understands there's market for fighters in the West and they will continue to bring us their new products. I really hope they know that they have the best net code for any online fighter out there and it'd be a crying shame to waste it by not bringing us VF5R...

 

Who exactly complained about VF5 selling poorly? I keep hearing that on this forum but never see any sources etc.

 

Fair enough, I just heard it here too...

I need either SF HD Remix, SFIV or VF5R... We need some new fighters to come down the pipe. SF HD remix is supposedly coming this month and SF4 is Feb09...

Watching VF5R videos and not being able to go home and play it just hurts me to the core.

Why release VF5 ver C as a platinum hit and not bring us VF5R... I'll pay the full $60 for R no problem, just let us have the freaking game SEGA!

I'm not positive but there wasn't really too much advertising for this game when it came out no?

 

xbox vf5 sold a little more than 60,000 copies worldwide which is quite poor. Seeing as this was already an 8 month old game for ps3 and had poor release timing with orange box, guitar hero 2 and assassins creed two weeks or so before it, im not very surprised.

 

No it's only just for Japan for the moment. ALong with no R, it's a double shame.
