VF5 Houston meetup results...

Ok much to tell!

First, the meet up was a raving success and we had a BLAST! I personally learned a lot about this game just in this one sitting from playing matches. When it seemed like someone just couldn't beat another player, the guy struggling would figure out an anit strategy (sometimes after repeated losses) and then they would be king for a while. It was AWESOME!

Unfortunately, I did not check my messages on virtuafighter.com throughout the day and I wish I had since I got three other people who wanted to come join in on the fun had messaged requesting to get in on the action.

We ARE going to be doing this AGAIN NEXT SUNDAY MARCH 4th here on the EAST side of Houston again.

If you want to come and bring some friends who also play VF5 with ya they are more than welcome! We also played a little 3s but not much.

 

Eileen and Pai were wrecking balls all day long.....

 

Great to see it was a success, EVO South is coming up very very soon in the future and it is in Austin. I hope you guys can play at EVO East and hopefully get seeds to Finals so we can all meet up and play.

I had a great time. I didn't know VF was soo damn good until I got some serious human competition. great games Focus. Hope more people show up next time. VF5 is just too damn good. Hopefully you have a stick by then, lol.

There is a houston chapter there and they are looking to throw more tournaments. I'm the head of the Colorado Chapter but the houston chapter is trying to include even more games. Check them out!!

mashed on the game occasionally since vf4 but never found any real competition or anyone that could really teach much so i just play around a little at best.

about how many real players are there in the houston community?

 

Houston has a lot of players for fighting games, but we're trying to start up something for VF5 which is small. So every man and women counts.

If you live anywhere near my area S highway 6. I'd be more than happy to drive a few players around to the next gathering.

 

yeah, i know lots of the people from the other communities, but not aware of any people really into a vf scene.

thats why i was asking.

 

Actually after visiting PlanetZero on Saturday, i found quite a few ppl wanting to play something new and specifically Virtua Fighter 5. We have had two events now and more and more ppl are saying that they want to come and the ones that have come have had fun and good matches.

 

Yeah a few more people showed up today. It was pretty cool. More people should show up, the game is too good. Hopefully more people show up next time.

 

saw u at pz on sat night. didnt know it was you until later otherwise i would have introduced myself. i was standing next to daniel. i think u were talking to him about tvs or something.

im still interested in coming out at least once when i find the time. weekends have just been so packed with tournaments lately

 

hi2u- Just picked this up and want to get into it (tough i know). Im a tekken player from houston. Doubt any of you know me, but im up at pz and other random places at random times. I'll probably show up to a few of these once i figure some stuff out.
