    VF5 Jacky Black Book Combos

    I've transcribed and translated the Black Book Combos for Jacky, and put them in the wiki.

    While the Black Book was based on Ver.B (arcade and PS3), all combos are tested and verified on Ver.C (Xbox 360), unless otherwise noted.

    Any corrections or questions on these combos, please post in this thread.

    There's one combo listed as fix me. That I know the situations of.

    For combo 47, off of the Double Back Kuckle head crumple (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gifCH/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif) [In either Stance]
    The combo goes /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif (91 dmg)

    Combo only works on the following characters: Kage, Eileen, Shun, Blaze, Akira, Goh, and Jacky

    You can finish the same combo with many options for various knockdowns and oki options but this is the best for damage and Oki (Leaves opponent head towards, face down). Backflip finish (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif) is the same 91 points of damage for example but leaves you with poor Oki options.

    I have some more combos with the details not listed on how to do them and some that aren't listed, I'll post them on Tuesday (or tonight if the MGO beta doesn't start today ^ _^ lol)

    I can contribute a bit with the smash upper to OM -> back combos. There are group/weight class character specifics for these combos. I tested it a few weeks ago with all the characters and found these to be the best in terms of consistency for me. These are all completely universal combos that require no stance checking at all, just verification of OM to backside. Feel free to add any of these tips to the black book if you want.

    This is my list of best combos to use off smash upper:

    OM -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif: Eileen, Shun, El blaze. Should be 56 damage.

    OM -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif or if you're feeling frisky you can end it with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif... it gives you 2 points more damage, but probably kills your oki game too. This combo applies to: Sarah, Kage. 54 and 56 damage.

    OM -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif OR
    OM -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif
    These two combos work best on the following characters:
    Jacky, Lei-fei, Lau, Akira, Lion, Brad, Goh, Vanessa. It is suggested by me to use the second combo which does 1 point less damage against Jacky, Vanessa, and Goh because /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif has issues on hit sometimes which result in whiffing the rest of the combo after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. Should be 58 and 57 damage.

    After CH /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif Whiff /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif: Aoi, Pai... Also works on Eileen if you delay the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif by a frame. Should be 56 damage.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif:Wolf, Jeffrey The most basic combo which also works against everyone else in any stance. It's a good option if you were not able to verify what direction you should OM. 47 damage.

    There are other options that do a bit less damage but harder for your opponents to tech roll out of which could give you better overall damage with a down attack, for example you can:
    OM -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif... I haven't really tested it but since it works on Akira I would assume it works on almost anyone whos weight class is lower but I know with Sarah, Kage, Pai, and Aoi, Eileen, El blaze, and Shun that OM P likes to whiff unless you use 2p. Should be 54 damage.

    Another tidbit to people who use OM combos. Sometimes I know when I do smash upper I OM instinctively but sometimes I second guess myself in my verification. Whenever you feel unsafe of your decision you can always do heavy pounce ( /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif) after the OM. Last I checked it did 49 Damage, which is still better or just as good as the universal option of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif

    I'm guessing the 15th combo which is a duplicate of 14 was meant to be /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif which can only be done in closed stance (before the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif). Damage on this one is 50. Don't know the specific characters off hand so I'll test this weekend but I believe it's Akira and lower in terms of weight.

    Is The purpose of the guard here only to set up the next part of the combo? Similar to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif , /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, where after the 3P I use a block to get the flash kick in? I am sure there is term for throwing the guard in after attacks but I don't known it.

    Usually called guard-canceling, even if it doesnt actually cancel anything. In this case I assume it is required so the twitch of the canceled kick moves the character forward so that the followups hit. Although I didnt test right now.

    As an example, I give an Akiracombo that I know:
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif~/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - Doublepalm. The cancel is required for the combo to hit.

    If that is the case and its used for guard-canceling then why are the combos listed in this manner...

    Where the first combo needs a guard cancel buffered in between the 3p and the flash kick. Why show the guard cancel on one and not the other? Is it not necessarily required for the first combo where it is a MUST for the second?

    I also cannot test these atm.

    Guard cancelling the buffer is usually never listed. In the first combo, for the fastest timing you would actually enter it as /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif~/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif~/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif.

    In the second combo, the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is not a buffer cancel, but an attack cancel. In this case, the kick is being guard cancelled. The universal use of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif in combos is to allow the character to travel slightly forward and/or introduce a bit of delay so that the rest of the combo will connect.

    Hope that clears it up.

    p.s. you mentioned 3P a few times but I think you meant 6P (or 6_P)
