The stages already look alot more interesting than VF4 even though this footage is from a handheld camera. I can't wait to see a direct feed clip.

 

looking closer, looks like they're actually showing 3 stages: Forest Asian, Euro Library, and what looks like maybe a coloseum (the brown stage, which has one side with a big drop off like a cliff)?

 

I'm trying to decide if Sarah's going down a very shallow set of stairs at the 41 second mark or if that's just the stone floor pattern and parallax playing tricks on me.
There's some really nice lighting that you can already make out, even at this quality. Here's hoping for a direct-feed soon.

Gosh, sure is a small video. Any chances they might release it so we can all see it, in a much larger, higher resolution version?

 

It was not allowed to cap during the footage or take pictures actually so should be happy with getting just this - maybe Sega will release something official by themselves (they should).
Stuff like this always leaks out though so might aswell show it in highquality imo.

I like the stages alot aswell, moving more back into VF3 style is a dream for me. Must remember this is very early (and even the words VF5 is never mentioned there so one could argue it's just a techdemo) but with luck VF5 might be out come christmas in Arcades or something.

It's one of those mysteries of E3; studios often only show the coolest stuff behind closed doors. Square, Activision, Microsoft, Nintendo and a few other companies are notorious for doing this crap. My guess is that it's a double-pronged strategy: they want to create buzz with their core audiences by showing them new/cool stuff that they will wait hours to see. Doing it off the show floor prevents this stuff from stealing too much of the other properties' thunder, though. Really, while we're all geeking out on this stuff, the press won't stop blabbering about Full Auto and Condemned, so it kinda worked.

 

i just saw a slightly better quality video and i beleive thats a kick ass 3d version of kage's VF2 stage (notice pillars). a more more kick ass version of lion VF3 stage (too obvious) and lau's stage (china wall, notice floor pattern).

Well, Finland is a dual-language country, så jag just ville ha något signatur som all kan inte förstå! Det är någonsom stickprov skit jag tog från Legend Of Mana OST. Or actually it's part of the cool end song, which can be found in english here !

For english-speaking people: Skit = Shit in swedish.
