VF5 Online Mode Problem

This thread is meant to address the problem of the Virtua Fighter 5 online mode <u>with the following error message</u>:

"An error has occured. This may be the result of a problem such as being disconnected from Xbox Live."

It comes much more frequently now, and it's getting on my nerves. As far as my Xbox Live experience reach back this never happened to any game. My router is perfectly set up, my Internet connection is more than good, and every other Xbox Live game that I own works at the time when this error message occurs in VF5. As well, Xbox Live works like a charm and is up online; but this error still occurs from time to time. Thus, it must be problem down to this particular game, VF5.

Is anyone else having this issue receiving this particular error?

I'm pretty sure that's what it says when some one pulls the plug on a game or if your connection fluctuates to a slow speed for a second.

 

This message occurs even before I get into a match.

 

This message occurs after you choose your character. It then returns back to the versus mode select screen, as it obviously couldn't establish a connection to Xbox Live, even though Xbox Live was up and running, and everything (plus every other online game) worked perfectly fine.

 

How common is it? On days when they do maintenance, I've seen that message pop up constantly. But, the majority of the time I play, it never occurs, or as said before, only occurs when someone pulls the plug.

If it's been constant for more than 24-48 hours, then yeah, there's probably some issue you want to look into.

 

It happens more often now. On weekends, and yesterday there is usually a time frame of hours where this error occurs. It's a pity that gamers have to deal with it.

 

This is actually not Sega's fault and is due to some issues with the recent XBL update. Similiar problems are happening on other games, notably CoD4 and Orange Box TF2.

yes this problem really distracts from the game.

my other gripe is that of a lack of a lobby feature.
for like a few players to gather together, like when you have your mates over for round robinning it and passing the pad.

seems not a hard feature to have implemented.

 

would cause too much lag
