VF5 Podcast!!!!

Hi everyone,
As a few of you know, i recently bought a MacBook computer and am having a blast trying out all it's bells and whistles...
So i have made a podcast. In it my brother Wasted Wish and i touch on the vf5 community, retirement, and play styles. But mostly we just have a good time discussing vf5 at large. Sorry the audio isn't so great, cause SMB (wasted wish) is difficult to hear at times, but hell, he's in alaska and i'm in oklahoma so considering that and it was my first podcast, it turned out ok.

I hope to in the future maybe interview some of the players from this site, that would be pretty cool i think. But we'll see. I hope you guys enjoy it.

I love VF talk. You guys could have your own section called VFRadio /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
I talk an average of an hour of VF talk a week. Only sad part is I only have one person to talk VF with but hearing about players who don't have not even 1 person to play offline or talk VF with makes me feel pretty lucky anyway... still wished I lived in Cali or NY for VF purposes /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

 

Hey it was kinda alright... I mean I could barely hear him on the otherside, even though you already mentioned that.

Pretty cool you did something like this though, and also, it was good that I got to hear you both cause haha I once thought you two were one in the same.

Cool stuff you're doing for the community though with this and the videos.

It was a little hard to hear your brother, but I didn't mind. His voice made me feel like I was listening to myself and I was like "I don't want to here myself!" LOL so I didn't mind hahahahah! No offense Sean / Shawn!

Overall I thought it was pretty kick ass for a first attempt. You can make it better though by learning how to control the flow of the conversations. For example sometimes you guys would be on a great topic or maybe elaborating about something interesting then it would turn into lots of laughter and giggles. I understand this couldn't be helped because A) it was your bro and B) it was your first attempt at this. If you can tweak it to give a nice balance of humor and some seriousness topped with some interviews... I think this could really be fucking awesome for the community.

Thanks again and I look forward to the next one. Oh and yeah I agree about the Cozby thing. During the NYG event when he leveled up I was amazed at how he was finding use for most of Lei Fei's moves all the sudden... something he didn't due prior to the event. Give the kid some more experience and he will be an even bigger bad ass than the one he currently is right now.

whoaaa, didn't u just talk me into setting up ichat and joining you on this, now its all, what do you want to talk about? it was fun, if not a little awkward at times. and damnit, people can't tell me and social ruin apart on the phone, so why do i sound like kermit the frog!

 

This is great. There's always things that you want to discuss about the VF community and I know that we all do it with whoever else we know on VFDC and off.
I remember talking good about Cozby and he got all shy on me XD
I called him "the future of VF" bc a)he's way younger than most of us were when we got into VF and b)he can play with multiple characters at a decent level.
Usually VFers tend to stick to their characters. Some of the best players play exclusively with 1 maybe 2 characters at the most.

Before anybody screams "get off his dick!" (jealous? XD ) think about it, Coz is more of an anomaly than a commodity as a VF player. I would really like it if VF attracted more players like Coz. Young, willing to try new styles and characters, humble and doesn't care about the win so much that he won't jump online with a new character and get his ass kicked for the sake of learning /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif
He's a thinking fighter. Even when he uses Lei he doesn't mash out of trouble. I feel a lot more well thought out reactions when I fight him than just reaction for the sake of not getting thrown or 2P'ing his way back into advantage. Good reading and he does stuff that I just started to work on last year XD

I couldn't agree more. When we are at a time where the future of vf is uncertain, this is a good way to keep the spirit of the community up and playing.

I would suggest (although i imagine have already been considered) things like interviews,frequently asked questions about strats, online going ons, news on events & meet-ups etc.

I haven't downloaded the Pod yet but I really like what I'm hearing about it. It'd be cool to add a section where you address particular characters or matchups. Like a series on it.

Or talk about a hot issue that is in debate right now on the forums. I see a lot of potential with this and honestly don't know why I didn't think of it sooner lol. Good looks
