VF5:R Location Test Report!

Oh my lord, just saw the low wall throw pics. Just like alot of members have stated in the past, we always wanted some sort of low wall throws(El Blaze and Wolf should have one, they're fucking wrestlers for christ sakes)I'm getting amped for this baby.

 

I just noticed that the movelist scanned on first threadpage has two new moves for Akira listed: /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
I assume the latter might be the low doublehanded attack in the vids?

 

That's what I thought at first, but /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is mid. The only low in the list is /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, which leads me to believe that his old low backfist was replaced by the new move.

 

Seems to me that this new 2_3 p+k might be Akira's new shoulder ram input. Makes it a lot easier to buffer in tight situations than having to switch to forward.

 

Maybe the fact that the commands for the low back fist are in the scan is simply because of a change of stats or hit effects. If you see, also the DE is there but I doubt it might have been completely replaced, since we can see it in the video...

 

So, does anybody know what language Jean speaks? By VF logic I suppose he should be speaking English, but that seems a little odd.

Yeah, that's not quite what I was getting at. I mean, so Jean is French by nationality, but ethnically Japanese (or so I assume, going by his surname) so I figured there's solid justification for him speaking either.

VF rules for languages:

Asians speaks Japanese, everyone else speaks English with an American accent.

 

Maybe his shoulder launchers on CH or NH again? I forgot which it was but didn't it launch or be used in juggles for VF4?

Man. I still want El Blaze to have some form of the 619. He could just prop them on the low wall, spring to it, grab the lip and spin around to kick them in the face. Would be great.

 

619 is wack. Child's play. If El Blaze has a low wall throw, it should be the Cielo Perfecto Uno.

I really don't want to see 619 either. It's so bland compared to a lot of moves. I either want to see AJ Styles' backflip inverted DDT or a rope walk DDT, hurricanrana or arm drag. Anything but 619 though.

FallingEdge, isn't El Blaze's current /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif essentially a version of that move you posted?

 

Um yeah ok this is great and all, but what about CUSTOMIZATIONS?

 

I assume jeff players have already noticed this, but P from threat stance has been moved to /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif; P now starts a high, high, mid string. This jab is very likely going to be faster than 12 frames, since he already has a 13 frame mid from threat . . . could possibly help to stop people from simply jabbing him out of threat stance.

 

It can also be a piece of shit too.

I'm 100% certain that they took out OM p / OM k (for this location test). It's written on the flyer.

One more small thing I noticed: I don't think you can pounce (light or heavy) after the round is over anymore. I guess they thought it was too rude or something.
