They never did? /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Well, it's IGN, probably they either meant version A or they've made up version B so they're "on their game". /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Let's just wait for an announcement at a valid website.

So on the VF5 site, it says that there will be no changes to the system or characters in Version B. Version B just adds some new single player modes (something called "knock out trial". I didn't bother to read the description, 'cause I mean, seriously, who plays single player, m i rite? =D

It's too bad though. I was hoping for a new Goh low throw direction or maybe a mid-level crescent. Ha! AM2 would never be so kind. Hahaha.

Anyway, I guess this means that we might want to go ahead and post the Version A character specific changes.

from what I can tell, this is a mode where you play vs. CPU, but the oppts are supposed to have the feel of real players. Seems like when you're fighting the 8 oppts, they're presented as a "team", all w/ the same team name; the 8th oppt being the team leader (see Eileen pic). In the pic above the player is battling team 8 of 24 in the "Mercury League". Seems similar to the "Tekken Dojo" concept, if you've played TDR on the PSP, but w/ teams.

One pic shows how you can up not only your win count but your win% as well beating these CPU characters...

Another addition seems to be the CPU giving advice after you're beaten by the computer, like "be careful using Akira's [P]+[K][P]+[K] because the 2nd hit is high, and can be ducked" etc.

I'd imagine those strange photos come from new animations that are used when you've put in your card, and are waiting for the vf.net stuff to load, which takes a while. Each player can have 3 of these little movies linked together, with a unique background for each if you like. You have to unlock more by winning (or maybe buying on vf.net, I didn't use vf.net, so I'm not sure, but you have 3 when you start on the Terminal).

Probably using the Arcade to test out ideas/modes that are being considered for the PS3.

Heh, I remember posting this very idea in that "VF5 on PS3 - what you'd like to see for next-gen" thread.

I think these pics are for the new character profile movies that you can customize.

"However, fans of the arcade version will be pleased to hear that SEGA has confirmed that Virtua Fighter 5 on PS3 will be based on the 'Revision B' arcade machine, featuring all the gameplay and technical tweaks that entails - most specifically improved loading times and textures.

What's more, it's pleasing to see that, even at this stage, the PlayStation 3 version of Virtua Fighter 5 is indistinguishable from its arcade counterpart. Whether you're familiar with the game or not, this means the incredible levels of visual detail found in both the character models and arenas are all intact."

    I'm pleased :-D

in terms of graphic, i dont think sega will make PS3`s VF5 look better than the arcade version. although the PS3 can handle a much more better graphics than the linderbirgh. BUT i hope they`ll make it so.

Hello! I've been visiting the VFDC boards for a long time, but only now registered. I really love VF5 and it's going to be my first PS3 game, so here I am.
Revision B is all the talk of the Japanese blogs, and there are lots of new items, like a mask for Wolf, a pirate hat for Jeffrey and other stuff.
So far it's apparent that B is just A with a one-player mode, so I hope all the items, techniques and changes in Rev. A are in B when it arrives onto the PS3.

Anyway, that's that for now. Glad to be here!

got my hands today on ver.b. the intro is far better and more interesting than ver.a which is IMO sucked ass. you no longer can play in the original arcade mode. there is knock out trail and time trail. didnt try time trail so i only info about the KO trail.
you basically fight a whole team, and whenever you KO when of them a sign of ok turn on the screen for that player. it seems the character were based on real players. just like in evo`s quest mode. so you can learn from just playing against the cpu. i know i did /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. and you can rise your level up by winning against them too. and get some items if i`m not mistaken.
