VF5 - UK Online Tournament - Entries by 11/01/07

Since we haven't had any kind of UK Online Tourney, I'm going to do my best to sort one out.

This is a trial and I have no idea how this will turn out. However, anything to get the UK scene buzzing again, it's worth doing IMO.

This is for fun with no prizes, but it does give a little bit of edge to win your name in the number one spot. I would like to do this once a month (if this goes well), and top names will be recorded.

Please enjoy and don't take it too serious, nor pulling the cable have much effort on your rank, which it doesn't. Nor will it improve your game.

Below is the entry details, and a Tournament Chart (final one is slightly different).

*Remember to record your match on paper, communication via headset is highly recommended.

*No changing characters during a session. Character can only be changed in the next session (next opponent).

*Both parties is responsible to contact each other via XboxLIVE mail service, arrange a time and date, agreed by both parties, and fight.

*Winning results.
This is relying on trust, both parties post the results to this thread.

8. Cable Pullers.[/size]

*This is a hard one to determine since XboxLIVE is in a mess right now, basically if it disconnect during a match, both players will have to replay the match.

*Minor problems like this can be sorted out between parties before posting results.

*However, Gamertags involved in disconnecting will be recorded. The same Gamertag disconnect again in three separate tournamnents will be banned.

*If results is not posted by both parties, they will be eliminated.

*If player reply "opponent not responding for a match", then the unreplied opponent will be eliminated.

yeah me then puleash! I'll post my stats later for the seeding.

My stick is broken at the mo, if i can get it fixed in time or another one by the date then I'm in, otherwise I'll forfeit, I will post updates on my status.

edit: just change the rule for disconnects, make it everytime it does disconnect just replay the match, it's the only fair way and it's the price you have to pay for online,
of course the disconnects will be monitored if they keep occurring in suspicious circumstances but it's all for fun, there's no prize on the line so noone should resort to such tactics, not even that kneeninja character..

My win ratio is focked cause I spent most of my time fighting way higher level players than me and I don't play ranked much no more....

I have big lag with Geewaiho and HOWL. I don't know why.
I have good connection with most European players.

I can travel if you guyz setup an offline tourney, bit of an epic journey but I can make it.

They probably have slow internets....

No, I'm going back to University, they have a lock network that doesn't allow Xbox Live.

The only way I can play online is to go to a friend's house off campus.

No worries though, I'm going to the Xleague tourney on Saturday, so I've been practicing everyday to get better.

don't worry, it's not ranked we're playing. it's normal 'arranged Player Matches'. doesn't effect your rank record.
