    What do you think Vanessa's single best......

    1. Attack in Def stance
    2. Attack in Off stance
    3. Grab in Def stance
    4. Grab in Off stance
    5. Combo on a facing forward opponet in Def stance
    6. Combo on a facing forward opponet in Off stance
    7. Counter attack
    8. Opponet on the ground attack

    I made this post because, I am a noob. I just got in to the VF series I played a lot of other games Tekken is one. Now I got VF5 and a bunch of my friends play it now. So far Vanessa is my best fighter. So if you guys can help me learn this game it’s much appreciated.

    1. Attack in Def stance
    66+K

    2. Attack in Off stance
    Can't tell, I need to play her more.

    3. Grab in Def stance
    270 ending in back (Best damage and good positioning)
    6,2+P+G (hardly ever escaped)

    4. Grab in Off stance
    HCF+P+G (Best damage and good positioning) and 33+P+G (you aren't side turned if escaped and damage is OK)

    5. Combo on a facing forward opponet in Def stance
    Best what ? Damage ?

    6. Combo on a facing forward opponet in Off stance
    Best what ? Damage ?

    7. Counter attack
    Do you mean reversal ? If so, i'll say her DS neutral hold

    8. Opponet on the ground attack
    up+P is only useful when it's guaranteed which means not very often (afetr a wall hit you can use it). Her DS up+P is not very good cause it's slow, I don't know about hit detection but it was poor in VF4.
    So stick with 3+K most of the time.

    By the way may be you should use the Vanessa thread already existing on this section next time, cause all thoses questions would fit better there.

    Thanks for the reply.

    When I say best I mean as in like combo do YOU go for mostly.
    I looked at some of the post and stuff and saw alot of combos I wanna learn them all but whats the most effective one. That still hurts.

    For example Tekken 5 basic Jin combo "Launch bf+2 1, db 2 2 3."

    Also about the post being where it is. Ill keep it in mind in the future.

    Simple combos for Vane according to moi
    (key being that they work against everyone):
    DS:
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif

    OS:
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    (causes slamdown, use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif if possible. Dangerous against people who can techroll the last hit as they will catch you at disadvantage when they get up.)
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif -> /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    (No slamdown = no techroll danger, unsure if it works against everyone though.)

    Those two openers are generally two moves to always keep in the back of your mind.
