VF5 Ver.C Jacky Combos

To do it, you must be holding the stick forward while doing the kick. Just kick with stick at neutral, then guard on impact doesnt do it. And yes, its still pretty hard. Easier in air combos though, because its easier to hold the stick forward doing those.

 

Practice practice practice! I do it after every fight in online and quest. Not to mention tons of practice in Dojo. I actually have a hard time doing it during mid air combos despite being able to consecutively do it otherwise.

 

Yeah I know but sometimes Jacky will bust out that useless knee move UGH! So yeah I stopped trying LOL. It isn't really an integral part of his gameplay is it? EEK hope not!

 

Mmm, tough call. I myself, wouldn't play Jacky if he didn't have that kick I don't think lol.

Highest I can do from side crumple (on regular characters) is 77.The only problem be is the 77 damage combo being in open stance only.

I've been meaning to get in there and add some more. After playing Denkai I saw several major damage combos that I need to practice. I will hit up Dojo today.

 

Jacky needs iaigeri in VF5 if you use Jacky and can't do that kick then practice. At higher levels of play that kick is one of the few leverages he has

 

I can do it but I can never use it in a juggle online.

Whatever I use to follow it up online fails epically.Every time.

 

I have a question about Jacky's uppercut and when it causes an opponent to fall and hit the ground. I have seen combos where you can evade left or right and follow up with a P to juggle then and then a string following that.

I am curious how do you land the punch without performing the OM punch? I tried using guard after the evade but it doesn't seem to work, unless I am just moving to slow. Any tips?

 

You got the right idea, just may be executing it a bit slowly or something. The way I do it is kind of sloppy really when I think about it. I tap G twice really quick near the end of the OM to ensure it happens. I think Myke mentioned just holding G after you input the OM with P+K+G then letting go of G before you do the P.

I remember when gl0ry and I first began using that combo. It was really awkward and tedious at first, but then once you get use to the feel, it's real easy once your muscle memory just triggers on it.

Also, on nearly all the characters, you'll need to be OMing to their backside on knockdown if you weren't aware of that.

I am currently working on updating the Combo page with some new Side Crumble combos I have found. Well new to me and the page at least heh.

Using 4K+G following a crumble leads to some serious damage and awesome combos. I have got full swing into playing again, been slacking since NYG, so hopefully I will get those up on the page asap.

I also seen some wild stuff done by Denkai so I may try to replicate that and expose his secrets /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

I've found a combo that works on Version B; Myke told me to post it here to see if someone can check it in Version C.

It does 65 damage, and works in either stance and on normal hit (the same as the one listed in the combos page, but without the need to use the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif [1 frame] thing).

I've tested it on Goh, Kage and Lau. It works on Goh and Kage in either stance, but on Lau, it only works in closed stance. I'm assuming it'll work on everyone below Kage's weight.

Basically, it's the same as the non-stance-specific combo listed, but it's easier to perform.

Not sure if it's of any use, but there's no harm in suggesting it.

I started practising Jacky and noticed some discrepancies in the Jacky combo list. I don't know who to approach so Ill put the additions here:

CH + -> -> + =64 damage
is new maxdamage combo from closed stance only. Works on all characters except Akira, Jeff, Wolf. Against Akira it can hit but is exact recoverable. I dont know how you guys missed this for this long. 1 extra point of damage over the previous maxdamage.

Additionally,
CH + -> + works on all characters in closed stance, and on following characters in open stance:
Lei, Brad, Lau, Blaze, Vanessa, Akira.
