Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown will be featured as a side tournament at Evo Japan 2020, and registrations are now open! The tournament will take place on Saturday 25th January 2020. Read on for rules, registration information, prizes and other details.

Format

• Tournament format will be Double Elimination
• The brackets as shown on Challonge are not yet final and are subject to change prior to tournament start
• All matches are First to 2 games
• Finals matches will be First to 3 games
• All games will be played on the Playstation 3 console
• BYO controllers and converters

Rules

• Dural is banned
• Default rounds and round timers
• Before the game, do rock-paper-scissors, If you win, you can choose stage or 1P/2P.
• Loser can change character
• Loser can request stage change
• If the controller breaks down, raise your hand immediately and get the attention of the Tournament Organiser. Do not wait until the game is finished to issue a complaint about your controller.

Prizes
According to @TetsukoYamada's latest tweet, while the final prize money is to be determined, first place will receive 30 kg of rice, while the runner up will receive 10 kg!
