Its starting to look like pose selection only works offline. In online it seems to be always randomized.

It may be offline only for selections, but if you are online,as long as you have that orb floating over your head it will automatically go to item win pose. The same goes for the random Japanese commentator remarks post match. The only kick in if one player has a floating orb.

Was like that in Ver C on 360 so I guess it's the same for FS.

I wasn't aware that there was ever a way to select your victory pose. Thought it was always randomized, no matter what. If that technique works, I'll finally be seeing my fill of Kage twirling those twin swords around.

I carefully made my Jeff into a mean-looking pirate, and gave him the saber... the special victory pose makes a mockery of my efforts!! D:

not sure if this was posted in here already, but the orb win poses are randomized. not sure about specific item poses being randomized but i know that i only got to see the Twin Swords win pose on Lion once.

Not offline, they aren't. I gave Vanessa a silver ball, and I get the special pose every time with up + G.

can anyone help me get any of the flags for the back working?

ive tried a few flags for jean and wolf and did every direction i could and found nothing. i wanna see there flag endings! does it have to be a specific flag?

So far the ones that say "awaiting challengers" work. Not sure about the ones that say "virtua fighter 5 final showdown"

Ok, here's what I found for el blaze:

    Head-mounted boomerang is [8] [G]

Folding chair (back item) is [6] [G]

Cannon (back item) is [6] [G]

Amigo Maracas (waist item) is [2] [G]

    Floating ball is [4] [G]

Maybe the back items are always 6+G for all characters? I'm not sure. The floating ball I haven't tested with other characters, so I don't know if it's always 4+G with them.

I've consistently activated these offline but I'm not sure if you can even get them to work online in the same way. I tried a few times, but it seems to only work randomly. It's weird. Maybe they didn't have the dlc.

any idea on what directions +g will get the flags to work? or is it even a +g motion?

i always thought the floating ball win pose worked randomly since i got it a few times in online play without holding anything. there might be a direction to hold for it to trigger it manually but i didn't have to do that a lot and sometimes when i tried it it wouldn't work anyway. so i'm thinking you could be right assuming the other person doesn't have the appropriate DLC for the characters i use.

The flag pose is whatever the back item command is for the character, which isn't always the same across the roster. I've only been able to get the "Awaiting Challengers" ones to work so far.

For example: Akira's flag item command is [8][G] (same as his bow, sword, etc. since all of his and Pai's unique pose items are back items) but Jacky's flag is [6][G] which is the same command for his pickaxe back item.

The floating ball is just a different command for each character and doesn't seem to follow any specific rule like the flag item does. It's probably just whatever command isn't being used for some other body part item pose.

    Ok, here are some more:

A note on Brad: the rose bouquet is wrong, it's actually the thorny rose equipped on the chest that has the winpose, and you activate it by pressing 6+G.
