I want and need that new Sarah stuff. I still haven't seen a movelist printed or passed on in any of the other 5FS threads.

She looks great. Even better than how she looked in 5R. I've been seeing double and triple bound combos against the wall. I've seen FL 8_2p+k dodge more moves than it ever has and stun. I've seen her do more damage and just overall have more potential to beat the crap out of people with her advantages instead of just getting another guessing game. And of course there's her new stance that looks like Pak Sao/Jacky's shuffle. It seems to have some sabaki properties.

So anyway....... here's some of my favorite vids so far......

At the end of round 4 you see a kick I've never seen before. Looks half circular. And the start of round 5 just shows the awesome damage she can do against the wall. Yes, I know everybody can do damage like that against the wall. But still..... it looks so cool when Sarah does it..... in a Morrigan costume. [IMG]

A couple of good guesses and Lau is annihilated. That's the big difference from Vanilla 5 to FS IMO.

Here you see more of the new FS moves. And the cool air hitthrow.

At 1:36 is wall juggle into air hitthrow.

Anyway.... let's get the talk going. I wants the info.

She appears to have a great mix up game, and good high/low combos. The mid's she was in desperate need of also appear to be there. She was woeful in VF5 vanilla.

how many outfits do they have total?, costumes A-E, the swimsuit, and i guess an extra one which for Sarah is the kimono, any more than that?

I'm also starting to like the new themes such as Sarah's, some fairly decent other themes as well, anyone agree?

In 5R FLp+k would sabaki low kicks as well as low punches. Eileen's sweep goes right through it and hits her. [IMG]

Sweeps are not the same class as low kicks.

Really? I know I saw where it would sabaki get up low kicks. Aren't those sweeps of a sort?

Can I get a ruling on this?

I'm pretty sure its the one move in flamingo where she shakes her leg to get sabaki. I think it's for all low kick based moves not just sweep.

Wakeup low kicks are sweep class, unless the properties have changed for some of them in FS(doubt).

Sarah's FL P+K sabaki LP class moves, and in R, both LP and LK class moves.

And even still, there's a point where the window closes. Also, to be honest if it sabaki'd sweeps it would really look counter intuitive in it's animation, as to what you think it could possibly do. And it would also be too strong.

Face down head away knockdowns turn the rising kicks linear making you able to sabaki them.

I know there's an instance with Sarah in VF5 (I believe it's after [3][K][+][G] sweep) where the opponent is knocked down face down head away and you can use [P][+][K] and it will sabaki mid rising and also beat out low rising (also producing a nice stagger and FL entry, pretty much allowing you FL [3][K] crumple combo or at the very least [P][K]).

I don't really see why anyone would low kick against Sarah when she enters FL anyway. I'd have thought that [2][P] would be a superior attack to be using.

I know whenever Sarah enters FL on me I don't think "damn I should really be using [1][K] right about now...)

Maybe because she no longer has FL K as special high. Im not familiar of the speeds of her flamingo mids anymore. (I know she has one proper mid now). Also there were some low kicks that went 'under' the special high anyway.

ps. Slide: there are rising low kicks that are linear (such as Akiras)

It's been a long long time since I've played, I guess I just forgot.

Also I think the P+K flamingo entry wakeup setup is from face up head towards. Well, anytime you can create the side kick property wakeup mid.

I can see why, it would be because 2P can be sabaki'd and they want to use a quick low as an immediate choice.

Forgot about Akira, my bad, thanks. It's pretty intuitive though, it looks like LK anyhow. Wolf's too.

Lion's 2KK as far as I remember, could go under the FL K.

Sarah ranked A Class. the highest of all the VF5 games......

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Weight classes have been changed for Final Showdown, here they are:

    Super Light: Aoi, Eileen, Blaze
Light: Vanessa, Lion, Sarah, Pai, Shun
Midweight: Lei, Brad, Lau, Kage, Goh
    Midheavy: Jean, Jacky, Akira
    Heavy: Wolf, Jeffry
Dude go on a diet: Taka-arashi

Here's the first "official" tier list for Final Showdown, published by Arcadia this month. It also includes small notes about each tier.

    S Rank: Shun, Lau, Akira

Within the top ranks, you have Shun, who has gained a ton of good moves and adjustments, Lau, who has not changed that much (but takes very good advantage of the new system), and Akira, who has been powered up. The changes to the throw system have not detracted from their game at all.

A Rank: Lion, Kage, Goh, Brad, Sarah, Wolf

All purpose characters are Lion and Kage, while Goh and Wolf possess very solid and simple 50/50 mixups. Sarah and Brad are also strong due to their stances. These characters have also not been affected too much by the changes to the throw system.

B Rank: Jean, Pai, Vanessa, Aoi, Taka-arashi, Eileen

Although they possess the ability to take on the stronger characters, they have quite a few weak points. However if they can compensate for their weakpoints with new combos and tactics, they may rise to A rank!

C Rank: Blaze, Jacky, Jeffry, Lei-Fei

They did not receive many upgrades or anything to really take advantage of the revamped game system. However, the difference between B and C rank isn't that large, if you were to ask most players.</div></div>
