VF5FS Sarah: Making foos run home for momma!

    Interesting thing at 2:56 of this Sarah vs Sarah match.....

    One of the Sarah's ends the 4th round with 3kk,FL7k. Is it just me or is that transition so damn fast you don't even see the kcancel into FL? Almost looks like it doesn't cancel at all and goes straight into the somersault. Makes you wonder if there are faster FL cancels like before with her 4k+g cancels from VF4.

    Firstly the somersault is FL[8][K] instead of [7][K], secondly, thats not [3][K][K], imo its [2][K] canceled into flamingo and then flipkick. Theres no second kick, thats why it looks fast.

    Already posted that video in the vf5fs vid thread but, I noticed the quick cancel, I also thought the 5th round was tremendous.

    Actually that is [3][K][K] because it was changed from [2][K][K] from 5 vanilla to 5R if you check the movelist that was put out for R awhile back. Also I know it was a cancel. In fact I SAID IT LOOKS LIKE IT DOESN'T CANCEL AT ALL.

    The thing is usually there's been a delay after the 2nd kick cancels. Maybe a couple frames but there's been a delay. At the vid that was shown it was damn near immediate. Not delay at all. It looked like a string instead of a cancel into another move.

    The jackknife cancel is there, and it looks like the same speed as it has been since it's been added. The difference is that that somersault has been a very fast move out of flamingo.

    I think you're just seeing things imo.

    Why you even linking that?

    It's not even a discovery, the match videos on the VF5 disc, the Sarah player was using silent entry flamingo.

    Guy that made the video acted like he struck gold, but if he turned to the left he'd see a pile of it shinning in the sunlight.

    I just saw people talking Flamingo cancels. Figured it would have been somewhat related.

    Nah, it's cool. The flamingo cancel mentioned in thread is based on some new cancels Sarah was buffed with in R onwards.

    In vanilla she could just jackknife and delay the 2nd part, but in R onwards she can still do that, aswell as flamingo cancel the 2nd hit and it works good for mixups. Something she should have always had.

    Props to SkatanMilla, but that was simply an example of fastest speed cancel. You can cancel moves with more than one timing.

    You don't have to do it following a move, you can just enter flamingo that fast, empty with no preceding move.

    I just noticed first hit serpent is -10 now. That means, it's only throw punishable now(No P), exactly to the frame. So that means, one has to completely call Sarah's bluff. I'm calling it totally 'safe' based on what I just saw. You basically can just stare at their hands while checking to see if they're going for throw now since there's no 0f throws, so you can follow up with the 2nd hit.

    Unfortunately Sebo just said that the hitbox is still f'd up. Why didn't Sega fix that? I think it has something to do with anorexic Sarah.

    It's the one where.....

    a) it looks like she rushes forward rather quickly
    b) She rushes forawrd and hops back

    It looks very similar to Jacky's side shuffle/rush. On the hopback she also has moves from it and the hop back itse3lf sabakis moves. Which moves it sabakis, however I don't know.

    No, no. While I saw it can whiff, it can be because of the long range I was at. But compared to VF5, the difference is day and night.

    Around :47 (after 4K+G combo) Sarah does what looks like a short shuffle step forward: that's Flamingo Slide.

    But that's what I mean by Sarah being tricky; compared to other stances, this one is really hard to recognize, and when you're on the defending side, it's scary.
