VF5R in CTF!! (actually, nevermind)

Since I manufacture japanese sitdown cabinets now, I'm thinking about buying VF5R for CF? Could possible come if board/kit is available in a few weeks.

I was planning on going back to NYC soon, but DAYUM.

 

I've heard you need to connect to vf.net in order to have this machine operational, need to verify this!

 

Never really wanted to live in NYC, but may have to now hahaha. Hope you're able to get it.

I think the game won't work out of Japan, I was told. It needs to be hooked to VFnet to function. This is not official, but, that's what I was told. Can anybody confirm this? If you manage to this man. I think folks in NYC or anyone will help you with any situation needed.Krsjin or Flash could crash at my crib if this happens, one.

 

Well if it's like VF5. You will need the stand alone version(international), otherwise even if you somehow manage to get the JP version at the very least it will be operational but it can't be updated. Once VF5r is on its final patch I'm sure they will release an international update for it maybe...

I'm pretty sure VF5 cabinets can work outside of Japan without any networking. One pro player in Taiwan he bought the "Lindbergh" and VF5 disc. Right now VF5 is also available in China.

But what I heard is, if you want to buy this "Lindbergh", you need not only money but also some kind of privilege... cuz the hole system is still used in Japan only......

Although this thread is talking about VF5R, but the "Lindbergh" system is still the same, and the only different thing is just that VF5R disc.

You can use http://imageshack.us/ to upload them but I duno how 'safe' it is. Seems to have a lot of popups.

I believe you can play the game outside of Japan with little to no problem. It's just that if there's any updates, you may not be able to update it.

If I didn't remember wrong, SEGA would retrieve the DVD and update by his own, but that's only for Japan.....
