    Arcadia No. 100 Jean combos
    1. 6K, P, 4KKP - Works on normal hit, a standard combo that works on everyone except for Taka.
    2. 6K, 2P+K, 66P+K - Taka combo
    3. 2P+K, P, 9K+G - Works up until Jeffry, inputs gotta be fast.
    4. 6P+K, 2P, 33PK - Works up until Jeffry, you need to delay the 2P a little bit for it to work.

    Nice, thanks.

This is just a guess, but I'd think
    df+P+K (flop uppercut), OM, P, b+K,K,K
would work as a flop combo at least on LW/MW's

Only theory, but I'd be grateful if someone could test since I've been thinking about that for awhile.

Looking at the current flop combos / overall Jean combos I'd think it works.
Some things I'd really like to know
    - df+P+K (the flop launch) is safe, right?
    - Same question about b,f+P+K (the mid hit-throw-string starter)
    - Does Jeans db+P+K seem to avoid moves (like, is it tech crouch or just the hit box moving backwards during the move)?

I'm just curious. It'll be awhile before I can play the game (if ever) but I'm really starting to like Jeans minimalistic, combo based gameplay.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Is f+K his knee launch? I couldn't figure it out by the movelist but some combos listed by you start with that.

df+P+K, OM, P, b+K,K,P seems to work on Lau but I guess it's stance specific since in this vid the player did it only once

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMQHjzQ3Mi0

Also, df+P+K, OM, P, f+P,P,K seems to work consistently.

I think he's one of the best Jean players I've seen so far.

I really don't know his move commands yet(Seeing as I haven't played the game yet...), but this is still good info for those that can play him now...With that said, I can't wait for R to release so I can catch up on Jean! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Includes most of the items found so far. Some are missing though, like the Katana that he has an item winpose with is not there.

To get Jean go to the up-left column and take the second last option. Then click the button on the down right.

The best news so far is that Jeans other item winpose according to this is with a beer bottle. That's right, a beer bottle.
You can identify item win pose items by looking for ones that have /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u_.gif+G in the rightmost column.

And since it's so quiet here
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtO_jzuEavU
    here's an excellent Jean player.

EDIT: The arrow can point otherways too in the item-winpose items. When I wrote that everything so far had contaiden only /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u_.gif ..

Around 0:41 you can see 91 damage sidecrumple combo out of sidekick.
    ( /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif sideturns opponent) MC /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    I think it is.

So it's basically just bounce into his basic float combo-ender.
It's a good match by the way.

Strange that it counts as a combo even though you can clearly see that the knee hits as counterhit, which it shouldn't if it is part of a combo. Then again, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is a weird move, I haven't fully understood the properties of it. What I've heard is if you get hit you just guard high or low and you will block any attack of that level. But everytime someone lands a low kick in this "stun" it seems they get CH.

    I've wondered about that too.
Also it used to be pretty common that first f,f+P hits MC for the usual effect then a second one hits MC for a knockdown for no apparent reason.

I missed the MC flash on the knee.
EDIT: Right, it's there. The properties on f,f+P hit are really weird. Anyone got any info on this?

I always thought this "stun" is closest to being in recovery. When you get hit by /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif a second time, you collapse, as if hit on mC. I always thought that the flash indicated exactly this, that you get hit with a "counter effect". So th knee would launch higher, the second /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif would cause a collapse stun and probably some moves would have other effects. Don't know about frames (i.e. hitting with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif after /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif stun = ?frames?) though. It's only a speculation.

Maybe they have added the flash also to those special property hits that happen when you hit into a stagger?

I'm starting to believe in the "guardable counterhit state" theory for f,f+P and the sabaki punches that seem to have identical properties on hit.

    In this vid here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPdg_KUOp-I
@ 1:35 the Jean player does f,f+P without following it up and you can actually see how long the hitstun is. Just check out how long it takes from Jean raising his guard to Blaze moving again.

@ 1:45 Jean gets a sabaki punch on Blaze backturning punch and again yellow flash for knee hitting after like it was counter although it did combo.

Manji: in the previous video it can't be due to backstagger since it seems to be just the way it hitstuns to the back. There is no struggling symbol after the backhit in neither vid.

It is so cool our small country is represented in the legendary VF5. "Vive la France!"

Jean is a very nice and powerful character, but in all the videos I have seen so far, I never saw any specific killing moves.

Is there any video of nice moves or throws?
