    Oddly enough that's the first Pai customization I've found remotely attractive, maybe it's the grass skirt?

    The combo you are referring to might as well take 100% lifebar now in R.. (hint: SgPM (wallstagger) -> SPoD (wallhit) -> deep bodycheck)

    ps. Above is not a combo afaik. Wallstaggers very rarely are real combos. If my memory serves all SgPm wallstaggers were possible to struggle out of in VF4. (Just like in VF5 too)

    Please point out to me where it did. Also Im more annoyed at the damaging move being single palm than some other move like bodycheck. Im not annoyed at the damage as such. I just think that single palm is 'too easy' move to input for that kind of damage.. Its un-Akira like. Now all the noobs will be doing QCF+P's for huge damage! [​IMG] I can see what AM2 is trying to do but..

    Also I dont like if too many of the starters are safe on block.. It changes the play too much in wrong direction imo.

    VF2 and VF3.

    Bodycheck does crazy damage again now too, don't see how any of this is un-Akira like though.... I'd say Akira is back on form, seeing as they made the damage properties for these moves more similar to the older games /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

    Manji, enhance your calm. A lot of moves in VF2 did crazy damage. Just look at Giant Swing.

    There are no new animation changes for Goh in any of those matches that haven't already been seen in previous ones, but that doesn't change the fact that they're still freaking awesome.

    A lot of his combos from Version A seem to still work, and there are a number of instances where it's shown that his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif hasn't been completely toned down after all. There may be some balance changes to some of Goh's moves in those matches (to his
    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif), but with so few matches of Version B around, I can't tell for sure.

    I think there are some new animations in there that weren't mentioned before. Goh's 43p is definitely different in a way. As is his elbow sabaki, unless these were like this in VerA and I didn't notice.

    Off the top of my head these were changed: 46p+kp6p / 66k / 46k+g / 6p+kp / 3k+g hit throw / 43p / 3p+k / 3k / 4p+k / 46k ...

    So whats up sega? You redid like 90% of Goh's attack animations, and the rest of the cast was seemingly left out to dry.

    OH, and were the specs of sand flying all over that noticeable in the previous version of Eileen's stage?

    Why do sooo much reanimation if it's not working towards some final, balanced console version????

    When I saw 66k I had no idea what it was at first, just looks COMPLETELY different. Almost looks like it COULD BE half-circular (just a guess though...)

    What is that little squat down elbow they were doing? Not 6p but the one with the little wind-up before he throws the elbow (swinging more upwards than from the side like 6p is now...)???

    46p+kp6p- He finishes with a reverse punch now instead of the palm strike...

    If that ducking/charging move is actually the new 4P+K... Just WOW...

    Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I saw all the changes they made to Goh. While it's a great welcome, it is a little disappointing as well in regards to the rest of the cast.

    I wonder if this was done to boost more interest in the character?

    Pretty much. Pre-ver B., 90% of his animations were shit. Especially when he's a practitioner of Judo.

    Yeah, some of them haven't been mentioned before, but they were in some matches that I posted previously in this thread. In retrospect, I probably should've said more than "There are a few more new changes in this match too." Sorry about that, my bad. I don't see a change to Goh's 43P myself, but some of the changes are so small (like the change to Goh's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif) I could be wrong.

    I'm not entirely sure which move you mean, but I think that would either be Goh's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in VF5).

    Anyway - I've been thinking the same thing lately in regard to Goh's new animations. At my last count, Goh has 19 animation changes in version B, and we haven't even seen all of his moves yet. Why has Goh been changed so drastically, when some other characters have barely been changed at all? As a Goh player, these changes are great, but I would like see more changes to the other characters as well.

    I fail to see what his new-found flailing haymakers have to do with judo. On the contrary, imho his new moveset suggests that the game designers wanted Goh to break away from the traditional judo mold he was trapped in.

    As I see it, when Goh entered the series in VF4: Evo he was pretty much just a cut and paste composite character with lots of placeholder animations taken from other characters, so what they're doing now is actually finishing the job on making Goh his own character.

    That said, where's the direly needed overhaul of Kage's animations? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif
