VF5US & Virtua Fighter Reboot Live Service????

VF5US and the next version of Virtua Fighter could work as a live service if new modes and stages are added as DLC or Seasons

Instead of the tired practice of adding new characters, new skins, and costumes (which gets old quick and is not really worth the money) VF5US and the next version Virtua Fighter as live services could focus on adding new modes for each season e.g.

• New Training Modes with Advanced Frame and Replay features
• New Training Mode Cameras that include Slo-Mo, and different Camera Angles
• New Arcade Routes (VF5US currently only has 3 Arcade Routes)
• Advanced Frame Data and Advance Player 1 & Player 2 Statistics
• Advanced VF.Net Features & Modes
• Custom Route Mode (Design your own Arcade Ladder)
• Add the Underground Tournaments (e.g mirror matches, iron man, crazy combo, venus matches, etc)
• License Mode
• Quest Mode
• Tournament Mode
• Team Battle Mode
• Survival Mode
• Time Attack Mode
• Tag Team Mode
• Scoring Mode
• Sparring Mode
• Kumite Mode
• WMAC Arena Stage
• Stages from Previous VF games
• Wall Paper Packs & Character Movies & Back Stories
• The Announcer Mode
• Martial Art Career Mode (From KYU to Competing in the World Martial Arts Tournament)

Adding these Modes and New Stages as Live Service Seasons and DLC would keep the game fresh, encourage new players to learn the game, keep new players and casual players always playing the game, and prepare and train the next generation of e-sports hopefuls.

The Modes can all be presented as Single Player, and Versus, with some of them having an Online version.

If RGG is going to convert Virtua Fighter into a live service they should give the fans something worth coming back for again and again. Costume customizations, and new skins are the cheap and lazy way out and are just not enough and not really worth the money

 

Live service makes me feel dirty, you know people will be paying through the nose for a broken game poorly supported

 

Yeah, agreed! My hope is that if they go the live service route, that they make it a legitimate live service for the fans, instead of the typical shady-hustle-n-flow-money-grab

 

Unfortunately, for alot of companies nowadays, money talks.
