I've won Double Brace in Mirror Match - from another Wolf (Conqueror). It seems that:

Double Brace: This item can only be won through Kumite Mode

These are verified methods of earning most of Wolf's Items. Unlisted items have not been confirmed as of yet. If you have any contributions, please reply to this topic.

**Default character appearances for most of Wolf's items is necessary. Do not equip any additional items other than the ones mentioned. Try not to win with Ring Outs or Time Outs unless stated. (100 streak item does not apply.)

Also, you don't have to win the match to get an item. (ie. If you want to get the Spiked Brace, you can just keep getting hit by Sarah's Gatling Kick Beat until you lose. You'll get it anyway.)

All these methods can be done in VERSUS Mode.

It may very well be, but every single item can be won from a mirror match as long as the CPU has it equipped and according to all the Japanese sites I've been to the Double Brace isn't listed as a Kumite Mode item, so there just might be a way to win it in VS Mode...I just haven't found one yet, but if it does turn out to be only available in Kumite Mode, I wouldn't be surprised. If you've noticed in all the item sections, at least one of every type of item is a Kumite Mode item such as the Wolf Head Tattoo or the Wrist Bandage. So, perhaps one of the unconfirmed Braces is a Kumite Mode item as well. You may be correct in this.

 

If this could help: I've fought a battle with another Wolf, who has had Cowboy Hat equipped, which paid my attention - but after the battle I get... Clerk's Armband. Huh - both Clerk's Armband and Duble Brace were aquired through mirror matches in Kumite, so if Double Brace isn't listed as Kumite Mode item, then Clerk's Armband must be Kumite Mode item (as one of uncofirmed braces)

 

Some CPU characters hold 2 items (up to four in the higher ranks), but you can only win 1 at a time. An example of this is the CPU character "Brutal Aoi" who holds both the Ornate Folding Fan and the Festive Headband, but you'll have to defeat her twice in order to get both. I'm pretty sure that's what happened in your case. Wolf's Cowboy Hat is a Kumite Mode item, and perhaps you are correct that the Clerk's Armband is one as well. In the Aoi example, both were Kumite Mode only items. So maybe this is the case for Wolf...?

 

It seems that I did not get the Dark Red Mask on he 4th vision sphere time. I got the Double Brace instead, because I never fought a Wolf clone in Kumite yet. Oh well, BTW I think you fight "Rabid Wolf" (Hero or Champion cant remember) to get the cowboy hat.
