I'm pleased to finally unveil to you the next generation of VFDC Command Lists!

This update includes features include:

<ul>[*]All major versions of the Virtua Fighter series, from VF1 through to VF5 Ver.C.[*]Sortable columns. Just click on a column to toggle between a descending or ascending sort. Click on the Name & Command column to reset the ordering.[*]Filtering. (VF5 series only) For even more control over the command list, click the Filter link to reveal a form, then choose the column, comparison operator, and value on which you'd like to filter. When a Filter is applied, it is shown in the breadcrumb navigation bar.[*]Improved looked and interface. Selection is by Version, then Character.[*]Highlight on mouse hover. The row you hover over gets a highlight to aid in look ups. IE7 currently does not support this feature due to it's lack of CSS compliance. Works fine in FF and Opera browsers.[*]Secondary highlight on sorted column. The column you're currently sorting by is highlighted.[*]Combined Filter and Sort. With a filter applied, you can still sort by any column you choose. This can be handy for arranging the results of your filter in a more organised manner.[*]Updated the legend. New look and feel to match the command lists, and includes more VF5 specific stuff.[*]Removed the condensed view. It was a pain to maintain, and I don't think anyone used it.
<span style='font-size: 14pt'>Filter Guide</span>

Working with Numbers
If you're filtering on numbers, use the =, !=, <, <=, >, >= comparison operators.

Working with Text
If you're filtering on text, you can also use the like, or not like operators in conjunction with wildcards for partial matching:<ul>[*]% will match zero or more characters[*]_ will match exactly one character
<span style='font-size: 14pt'>Filter Examples</span>

Show Commands that can be Fuzzy Guarded
Filter: Guard >= -6

Tip: After applying this filter, sort by the Guard column to arrange everything in order.

Show Commands that give advantage on Guard
Filter: Guard > 0

Show Commands that can crush a rising attack
Filter: Damage >= 21

Show the Character's punishment list
Filter: Guard <= -12

Tip: A quick reference for guaranteed attacks:

10f Punch: -10
11f Punch: -11
Throw or 12f Punch: -12
13f Punch: -13
Elbow: -14
Uppercut: -15
Side/middle kick: -16
Knee: -17

Show Commands that are Elbow speed (14f)
Filter: Execution = 14

Show Commands that knock down on hit
Filter: Hit = down

Show Commands that slam, stagger or stumble on hit
Filter: Hit like s%

Show Commands that cannot be evaded
Filter: Escape = - . -

<span style='font-size: 14pt'>What Next?</span>

The next minor update will allow you to easily filter for things like Sober attacks, Super Replays, Sabakis, and anything else that's meaningful in the Notes column.

I will also try to make a better print friendly view that doesn't use so much ink!

If you experience any problems, please let me know in this thread.

The Command List Panel explained:

[IMG]

1. This is the breadcrumb path, showing you where you currently are. If you have a filter applied, then its definition will be appended here. For a quick way to revert back to the default view with no sorting/filter applied, just click on the last link (e.g. VF5 Ver.C Akira).

2. This is where you select the Version and Character for the command list. Upon selecting a Version, only the applicable characters are shown in the Character drop down.

3. Click the GO button to apply the current Version, Character and Filter (if defined).

4. Click the Filter label to show or hide the filter form. By default it is hidden, even after applying a filter.

5. The Filter form has three components: Column, Operator, Value. All three must contain valid data in order to apply successfully. After defining a filter, click the GO button to apply it.

6. Click the Reset label to clear the filter form.

7. Click on any Column heading to Sort by that column. You can toggle between a descending and ascending sort by clicking on the column again. To revert back to the default sort order, click on the Name & Command column.

Nice upgrade Myke.

Sarah's suplex is still missing. (Both in Ver B and C lists.) Her old /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif throw from back in the day is now /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif does 45 damage.

I'll make a quick list of which throws you can use quick recovery and exact quick recovery afterwords... I think that would be useful in the move lists, especially now that you will be able to filter which throws you could quick rise after.

Can anyone comment if any of the quick rise opportunities after throws have changed in ver C? Are there any new ones? Have they removed any?

Thanks Yupa, I'll get Sarah's suplex into the next round of updates.

As for which throws you can fall recover from, I think most are documented in the Command Lists. If you find any errors or omissions though, let me know.

I did notice some ommisions in the ver B cmd lists when I wrote the quide... I'll double chk it for you over the next couple of days. It'd be great if someone with an xbox could do the same for ver C (hint-hint), but I don't recall anything being said about any throws changing this significantly ver B to ver C.

Here are omissions/corrections to the ver B cmd list throws. This is from testing on the PS3. I assume if you can quick rise after a throw in ver B, you can also do it in ver C. The only thing that might be tweeked is the damage and recovery time after a throw or escape. Please comment if you have facts re: ver C changes to throws.

<span style='font-size: 14pt'>Filter Update</span>

The Notes column can now be included in the command list filter. Since the Notes field is a body of text, it's best to use the "like" operator to match your keywords.

<span style='font-size: 14pt'>Examples</span>

Show attacks that sober Shun
Filter: Notes like sober

Show attacks that have a side turn effect
Filter: Notes like side

Show attacks that have have a super replay
Filter: Notes like super replay

<span style='font-size: 14pt'>In Other News...</span>

Previously, command list updates were done as a batch process resulting in a slow turn around between updates. Now, I've just completed an upgrade under-the-hood which should allow for updates to be performed on the fly.

Command List corrections are always welcomed in the character specific command list thread, and thanks to all who have contributed so far!
