And we're back! As you can tell, VFDC has undergone a major upgrade so please take the time to read on for important information!

I've personally agonised over the decision to upgrade for the better part of this year. With the release of FS on console, and other real life matters, figuring out the what, when and how kept getting put into the too-hard basket.

But, it is finally done!

Well, not completely done, but for the most part VFDC is back in business! Please read on to find out what you need to do as a returning member.

Returning Members
If you're a returning member, then there are some important things you should know:

• Usernames: There is no longer the concept of a separate username and display name. Your username is now whatever your display name was at the time of the migration. If you don't recall, then you can alternatively login with your email address.
• Passwords: Your password should remain as it was previously.
• Avatars: All avatars should have been restored in the migration, BUT, this new forum now supports larger resolution Avatars (200x200). Please go ahead and update yours! Note, animated GIFs will no longer animate in the thread side bar, but they will when someone views your profile (mini or full).
• Profile Information: Take the time to review your Profile, as some, but not all, information made it over. GamerTags have not yet been implemented but will be done soon!
  • Be sure to set your Timezone setting in your profile, so that all Date/Times displayed actually make sense to you!
• Privacy Settings: Be sure you review and update yours as required.
• Signatures: All signatures were not carried over in the migration. Please re-create at your convenience.
• Private Messages: All private messages were not carried over in the migration.
• Calendar Events: All calendar events were not carried over in the migration. Please re-create any upcoming events using the new system.
• Image Galleries: All image gallery forums were not carried over as the new forum doesn't support this as standard.

The old forums may still be accessed via their original link in case you wish to salvage any private messages, signatures, gallery images, etc. Everything should be read-only (let me know if they aren't!) and will be permanently closed down in 7 days.
