This thread is only for movies that are VFEvo.com EXCLUSIVES, or movies that can't easily be found elsewhere. I'm stressing that because vfevo.com (aka vfzone.com) rarely puts out original movies of their own, they're almost entirely a mirror. So if a new daioh movie comes out and it's mirrored on vfevo.com, please post about it the daioh thread.

With all that being said, I saw on their media message board a cute movie that I suspect is from 1/60th's site because it's the kind of movie they tend to make - a short, high quality demonstration of something new or nifty.

    http://vfevo.com/board/data/vf_pds_02/ak_46p2p33p2_46p.mpg

is the URL. It shows akira's new evo-only standing palm of doom combo.

PS: If you do some digging, you can find almost every movie imaginable on their site. They've been archiving VF movies for a long time..on an adfree site with good download speeds. It's probably the largest VF movie repository on the web. If you ever miss a particular movie because it got taken down, vfevo.com is the place to go.

PS: Fun Fact of the Day: I'm the largest VF movie repository OFF the web.. at 44.6 gigs. So sad I can't host it all /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Great clips. Lighting in Wolf's stage is upped. One thing I do have to complain about, and this is nitpicky- the character shadows. They sitll don't take form of the silhouette given by the fighters, but are still "blocks," similar to the VF2 shadows on Saturn. I guess this is a trick for AM2 to put more polys on the fighters themselves, and save a bit more processing power on more important stuff, other than the shadows.

It's a quick way to distinguish the PS2 from Arcade in these small videos.

Yeah they were some nice clips, it sure looks alot sharper now. The lighting is alot better too. I didn't notice the shadows though, but seeing Jacky get beat was good.

Right Click your mouse over the link and do "File Save As..." And watch your bandwith disappear. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    Pusan area clips.

These files are large, and the download speed was fairly slow (for me anyway).

    http://www.vfevo.com/movie/vfevokorea/54-a1.mpg ?(Akira) vs ?(Lei-Fei)
This Akira player does 10000000 random double palms and gets away with it most of the time. It's too bad Lei-Fei can't punish this move as easily the other characters./versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Completely opposite Akira style from "54-a1.mpg". /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The random double palm guy does double palm

like crazy. I don't know much about Lei-Fei, but isn't

his [9][K]+[G] garanteed after blocking Double Palm?

In the movie, Lei-Fei hardly blocked double palm

actually, so he didn't even have to chance to punish

    him though.

    some retro goodies

Lonelyfighter pointed this out to me today. Some interesting "blasts from the past" clips. VF2, VF2.1 (although you can't really tell) and VF3 battles.

The VF2.1 clips are the only good ones and even those are sub-par. The VF3 clips are okay. They can be found here

    Re: some retro goodies

Who's the Lei-Fei player? The ring name looks like "ShinGiRu" or something. BTW, the busan014 clip with Mr. JoU is pretty insane.

    Re: some retro goodies

The leifei player is Shin-gi-ru. He is the one who won

    the Pusan area tournament.

Mr.Jou is the one who played at the TBzone tourney

    which Team VFDC participated.

He became a star after beating homestay Akira with

3-0 record eventhough he had almost "never" played

VF4 before the tourney. He was a famous Akira player

    in VF3.
