We currently have no scene in the state of Virginia. I am in the process of trying to find out where all of the Virginia VF players are located so we can plan future gatherings. Here in the Hampton Roads area, I personally know at least 8 maybe more people who either play VF or want to get into the game. If any of you are into VF, live in Virginia and want to help get the ball rolling, please let me know. I am in Norfolk. Feel free to drop me a message on AIM. My user name is Blackula1981.

What... Someone else in VA that plays (even if it's 2hrs away). Nice. Funny, I was playing SF and Tekken with a bunch of frat guys at my apt. They probably had 5 different games going on at one time. Some point in the night I said "does anyone play VF?" People were like what's that??? haha classic.

I used to play this game, but because of the fact that not many people in the US even take the game serious I put the game down. Now that I've bene to a few recent tournaments and the comp was pretty good I figure that I can give this game another shot.

It isn't that the game isn't taken serious. People just don't want to take the time to learn another game, especially one that is considered to be the deepest of fighting games. People are quick to say nice things about it, yet they don't want to play it cause it will take up a lot of their time to learn it. You seriously have to be very dedicated to play VF. It isn't as easy to pick up as other fighting games. And because of the learning curve, maybe that's why people are hesitant to pick it up. You would think that after releasing it to PS2 and adding a training mode to teach you just how the game is to be played, that more people would give it a shot. What other game ever had a training mode so in depth to teach you how to play it?
