Virtua Fighter 2 for the PC????

I am gettin Virtua Fighter 2 for the PC. I have a newer compaq with a built in Pentium Graphic Card. I have the latest version of Direct X, but will this old of a game play ok on my computer??

 

It should certainly work if you're running a Windows '95 based Operating System (of course... those very words mean there's potential for problem anyhow--but no OS is perfect for the software we usually use these days).

The potential problem is that the game might run too fast on your system, but that can be controlled somewhat.

The game never runs too fast if you set the frame rate right in options.

 

Hmm, when I was running it on my friend's computer, we couldn't find a frame rate options of any sort. We tried running the synch options. And the detail settings too... We always got somewhere around the mark, but not quite there. EIther it was quite slow or quite fast.

Hi there

I recently dl'ed the VF2 demo and tried installing it with no luck, on my windows XP system. I learned from an other bord that you had to right click the setup icon and chose compatability and set it to win95/98. I so did and it ran smoothly.

I ordered the full version from Amazon today, and will try to tweak it to the max, and hope for the best /versus/images/icons/smirk.gif

My system
P3 600mhz, 384ram and geforce 2 32

 

I playit on my PC just fine, but the Saturn version is more playble. My PC is Celeron 700 256 Ram and TNT2 32 mb with Windows 98.
