Cheers, Sudden_Death. It's pleasant to hear more personality in the character's voices with each rendition. I believe they've become even more distinct in Virtua Fighter 5 too:

Wolf’s voice is far deeper and he sounds more self assured bordering on arrogant. I can really hear the conviction in his words.

Jacky finally sounds like a man albeit, a young one. He’s quite the boy scout in contrast to Sarah’s vixen.

Jeffry sounds like a brute on acid, I'm glad they kept his cackle from VF4. It’s deliciously vicious. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Sarah really sounds confident with a sassy flavour and often condescending, which is slick. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Lion sounds about the same as he always has, which is fine with me. /versus/images/graemlins/indifferent.gif

Brad's new voice pleases me the most; it's deeper with a hint of rugged grit which distinguishes him from Jacky as stylish and cocky. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Vanessa sounds like she's developed a wry sense of humour but has still retained her professionalism.

El Blaze just cracks me up with his lines. They're so cheesy, he's hilarious. It’s like he’s trying to make up for his lack of height. /versus/images/graemlins/lol.gif

The other characters sound pretty solid to me, but I can't really comment beyond the stereotypes. Though, I do like that Lau has more screeching, I've always liked that... /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I have a question though...I have VF4 Evo and i usually play as goh..and i can honestly say..i Have never once heard that #12 Voice sample..I believe what he is saying is..

"Teme....Urusaii iien dayo!! or
"Teme....Fuzake iien dayo"

When in the game does he ever say this...I have all win quotes bought from the store and i have never heard it...

If someone could help me on this it would be great cause its annoying me.

 

I'm guessing here. You'll probably hear that voice clip if you lose in arcade mode with Goh. It will happen during the countdown to continue.

 

actually i checked and he doesnt say it.

during the countdown he says..(Translating it to english)

"I lose this time".

and when you press start to continue he says

"This Time...I'll show you Hell"

 

Hmmm. It COULD be one of his entrance quotes, then. I don't know if you can select a particular entrance the same way you select a win pose. Most often I skip entrances and get right to the fight.

Well i have all his purchaseable win taunts...

so i dont think thats it..

I noticed that when you play on the old stages from VF4 the camera angles on Win Taunts changes..so its possible it shows up there..

dunno though.

I thought that maybe it was a Taunt...but i dont think you can taunt in evo can you?

 

I'm still wondering if this is something he says before a fight. Sorry if I'm being redundant. It's just so easy to skip past it. I don't know if you can select pre-fight taunts with, say, , , or and hold to force the animation to play.

 

yes u can select pre fight taunts simply by press p,k, or g.

I've heard em all n never heard this particular one b4.

And based on the harshness of his tone, I'm betting it's after he royally kick someone's can of sardine!

 

ok i went through all his voice quotes and i am listing them by number and when they can be heard...funny i just found another 1 that i never heard before.

evo_goh_1: Win Quote...Kneels down right in front of your face.

evo_goh_2: Win Quote...Cross Arms..And then walks away

evo_goh_3: No Idea...never heard it in Evo.

evo_goh_4: Win Quote: Purchased in Store. Does Roundhouse Kick and then Punch.

evo_goh_5: Loss Quote: Says during the Continue Countdown.

evo_goh_6: Enterance Quote: Close up of him Talking.

evo_goh_7: Win Quote. Purchased in Store. Close up of him Clenching his Fist, and then into a side shot.

evo_goh_8: Continue Quote. Says after you decide to continue after a loss.

evo_goh_9: Enterance Quote: Sits on ground then turns around and puts his fists up infront of him,

evo_goh_10: Enterance Quote: Walk towards you while giving you the "slit throat" motion.

evo_goh_11: Win Quote: Stands over you, grinds his foot into you and then kicks you in the head.

evo_goh_12: No idea...the 1 that started all of this..heh.

Hopefully now someone can shed some light..

I have a feeling that those 2 quotes were left out and were decided to not be used..Maybe they are used in final tuned?

 

It's sound bytes which weren't used or were made for the console version but never got used. You can use the same method of opening the cvm files for VF4. The female announcer had many more sound bytes which weren't used on the main menu. I'm sure you can play all these sound files in the sound test mode within the game.

 

evo_goh_3 and evo_goh_12 is the voice of 8+P+G and 6+P+G winning pose,in ps2 version we couldn`t buy them but we can edit them out by AR2codes.

(english is poor,sorry)
