I've uploaded some instructional vids for version c, extremely useful for beginners, and even some advanced play. They also got some mini combo arts at the end.

Eventually this seciton will turn out into a Virtua Fighter for beginners site, for those that feel too intimidated by the initial premise and terminolog of Virtua Fighter.

    have fun /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

[editor's note] just a quick edit to let everyone know that these vids are in japanese, and are very good stuff if you can figure out what's being said (sometimes just watching the screen is enough).

well the titles are "VF4 versionB Kyasao matches" from gamewave (the famitsu dvd magazine)no vers C there but for beginner can be usefull!

Well then, I guess they're all version B kyasao matches. Kyasao teaches you how to play every character, even the ones he normally doesn't pick.

No, but seriously, the titles on the movies are erroneous. It's version C (or is it! dun dun dunnn), and it's not all stuff that isn't easy for beginners to understand, like the explanation of kage's blocked PPhelix giving him +2, vs the 14 frames an elbow will take, etc.

Oh those vids, yeah they are verC, I err...a friend forgot to change the title from a previous vid that featured Kyasao playing a verB Kage from a Gamewave DVD, sorry!

So once again they are all verC instruction vids, remeber Kage crumble combos after [JM] moves, not possible in verB etc

Lei Fei also does a QCF [P]+[K] sabaki that causes crumple, that move did not do crumple in version B.

Has anyone posted translations for these vids, like in a text file or something? I'm sure there are many Japanese and English speaking VF fans out there.

Also, does anyone know what the name of the song that's played during slow motion explanations is? I love it. /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

sup, you might not be finding the clips because they were posted 2 or 3 months ago. Since then, phoenixD's web space has been used for other things.

The clips are still available through phoenixD or myself, if you know how to get on irc.
