Better yet, you NA saps had the privelege to test the PS3 so we in our grace could be handed the version 2.0, free from all the annoying little bugs I bet were found in it.

    Teehee...

Hardware bugs yeah, Software bugs though could always be patched and thus isn't really much to worry about (ie... Games not currently working and so on).

Also, the home release will have a Frame Counter in the training mode. Obviously here on VFDC, you can have that info, but not you don't even have to have a sheet of paper, or a webpage open to here to have up to the minute Frame information available.

So you throw a punch, not only will you have the button layout, the damage info, but you will also get something like +12 with that punch. Like 1UP said, casual gamers may not care to much for it, but anyone that plays competitively, whether at tournaments, or local friends, family, dorm friends will apprecate it.

Feb 20th is just around the corner. Other than Gears of Wars and that Zelda game, VF5 will be one of the great early games of the new generation.

P.S. They left the option open for a 360 release of VF5 or "something in the future" Doesn't microsoft require every game to have at least Some internet connectivity???

P.P.S. To bad Sega is still adamant about no internet. For Virtua Fighter's Style, it almost assure us that there will be casual folks picking it up (UNLESS, they pick it up anyway since games are scarce on the PS3, and this will be rated pretty high and thus they are inclinded to get it).

Nah, while they aren't exclusive to a console, Sega's AM teams are pretty lazy which is why Sega of America had to get Sumo Digital to do ports of Virtua Tennis 3 for 360 and PSP (it's exclusive to PS3 in Japan, that port is handled by Sega AM3 themselves).

Unless they change their hardware specification or not be lazy, I don't see VF5 going on any other console. And yeah Microsoft requires every game to be LIVE compliant. So that would butt heads with Sega AM2's no-online stance.

It's become a fad among game developers to outsource console ports of their games and to do the first/primary version themselves. I don't think AM2 is actually being "lazy." I don't know where people come up with this crap.

VF5 is a huge sign that they are bing lazy.

It's not a full version of different rather then just a update of FT. So, don't gave me that they are not being lazy.

I'm more in line with Kungfusmurf here....the difference between Evo and FT and difference between FT and VF5 gameplay wise are really not that drastic that I would qualify, gameplay wise, VF5 as a complete sequel and new game....I mean VF4 to Evo was just as big of an update, the only difference with VF5 is new sound effects/graphics. Yeah some of the gameplay mechanics have been changed. But the release of FT totally lessened the impact that VF5 had for me and probably everyone else.

nobody I'm sure is questioning the work put in to make a game, people are quiestioning the "laziness" of heart and effort put into it.

It's not so bad.... On occasion... when you're inbetween projects... I mean 120 some hours at work leaves you a few hours of sleep that week... After getting home you have... oh 5 hours to sleep...

ok, so we all know that VF5 is coming out in the US on Feb 20th, roughly. I've seen Feb 21st, and Gametrailers.com still has it set for March 13th. Granted, most seem comfortable with it being released on Feb 20, but we all know the videogame industry as well.....delays, delays, delays.

I'm not trying to poke at anything negative. I just have a question: *Should I pre-order a Japanese VF5 to be safe?*

I just fear there may be a chance it won't come out on time in the US, and i'll have my RAP3 just chillin' and collecting dust from day 1. And yes, I'm an impatient lil bitch who wants to play this shit NOW.
