This guy made some good points about VF6. He mentions how wolf has a brace in the new trailer which makes sense for a wrestler at his age.

I still wish we got the Ichiban in the reveal trailer, over the final version. That aside, that is a cool detail. I saw Wolf's knee before but didn't think of it as a brace. Now seeing it, yeah that's an awesome detail, and really just drives home how excited to see the rest of the cast.

So how old is Wolf suppose to be now? I know he was born in 1966 and from the time VF was released it was 1993 so Wolf was 27 (I don't think they officially had a timeline in game, I could be wrong). And with each Virtua Fighter comes another year added right? So Virtua Fighter 5 would be 4 years later from VF1, making Wolf 31 at the end of Virtua Fighter 5.

How old should we expect him to be? Personally I don't really like aging up the characters, I would rather sooo much a reboot just to retell their stories in a more clear, broad way. That way we can also keep Lau Chan and maybe Shun Di? You have to keep them, they're the old monks of the series! Giving Lau Chan a random sickness with a poor direction on where it was leading to was a weird decision. You basically lost a character you never really exposed enough of in the first place..

The sound problem during the reveal of the trailer at the Evo Japan and the camera that reframes Yamada too early at the end annoyed me a little, the announcer is so good it cut a little the climax of the staging that we can fortunately see in the full Sega video. So it took me a while to realize that it was Wolf, so radical the change is, I loved the changes of Vf5 which contributed to making Wolf and Jeffry imposing, but apart from the silhouette I found Vf1to Vf5 Wolf design quite bland. The Wolf of VF6 is less imposing which translates that he is far from his prime (nice detail catched by rooflmanger), he has a bit of a face like Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler, pasty and bloated. The paint on his body, cool why ? The idea of a dented wrestler pleases me and his design grows on me, it overvall better and more interesting.

    hi
i want to talk about wolf
here what i think and how i feel

the new design is a big change for me playing and loving original wolf for 30 year , take me sometime to process , but i like the new design more everyday , but i still hope he have classic costume :) i like the option to be heel or baby face , depend the costume you pick up the same of raiden and big bear ,

my only concern now is from vf5 ultimate and r.e.v.o wolf feel smaller because he lost muscle mass and this translate a bit to vf6 , this will dont hurt wolf in vf6 too have a extra 10% to 15% more muscle mass 1-shoulder 2- larger back 3-bit larger leg , thank you

If the time skip is large...

Of the female characters, I see only Eileen and maybe Vanessa returning (black don't crack). Stella is clearly replacing Sarah, and thus I very much doubt Pai and Aoi are coming back due to being too old.

I really like the idea that the bespoke guard animations can hint at frame advantage. They're really doing this right.

Yeah it's sad most fighting games must depict female fighters being young. I'm guessing that's why Nina and Anna in Tekken were cryogenically frozen? Bloody roar 1 had a middle aged female fighter.

This could be crazy, especially if they keep or bring back certain mechanics. Like having an animation that tells the player a move can be fuzzy guarded, or when you're in nitaku. It's there already, as far as nitaku, but taking it to another level could really sell the look of the game. Especially for someone jumping into it for the first time.

This new Wolf modern design is just amazing and genius, what a glorious redesign from SEGA !

Hoping that all the characters will be back with this godlike 2025 redesign, and more...

I want more characters for the new "VF6", maybe around 25-30 characters in the total it would be great (perfect), and maybe 1 or 2 guest characters.

They are likely to bring back Pai and Aoi (at least as DLC) because they are quite popular. Vanessa will likely return for the simple reason of fanservice, and Eileen is a maybe in terms of popularity.

As for Sarah, I genuinely do not know what will become of her, but I would love to see both Stella and Sarah in VF6 with diverging fighting styles. I would love it if Stella had a moveset similar to VF5 REVO Sarah as a way of showing that Stella cannot move on from the past, while Sarah could have a reworked style more focused on momentum and counterattacking to show growth in her character. This is based on my assumption that Stella will be a clone of Sarah similar to Phase 4 being a clone of Kasumi in DOA.

    Counter-hit flash.

Counter hits usually leave you at nitaku.

If Stella is not Sarah, she needs to get clothing that is distinctly different from Sarah. Also, Id prefer if the devs shook off the fixation on her legs. It would be nice to get DLC costumes that aren't all like, mini-dresses.

Ive loved Sarah playstyle since VF5, so Id rather they not do complete revamp.

However, I wouldn't mind if Stella was like, a clone or android or something made by J6. This would allow her to have Sarah's looks and moves, but be a completely different person, with possibly different voice actor. I think this would somehow feel more appropriate explanation for a different person that looks exactly like Sarah.

Oh and I would hate if any characters were behind DLC. (I also dont think VF is popular enough to go that route anyway)

ps. I dont believe they tie in-universe time to real world time, almost nobody does that in video games.

If RGG studios did end up making both Sarah and Stella playable with an idea similar to mine in mind, Stella would inherit Sarah's old playstyle from VF5. This would mean that Sarah's VF5 playstyle would still be playable, but it would be inside a different character.

Regarding your DLC point, Guilty Gear Strive skyrocketed the popularity of the Guilty Gear Franchise when it was not nearly as big as it used to be pre-Strive. This could very well happen with VF6, so DLC would likely be the case.

I think Stella is a Sarah clone from the J6 project. I was thinking multiverse shenanigans because they showed Project Century at the same show.

The real world time would be weird, but since RGG Studios is working on the game, especially presentation, it could happen? They've been doing it with Like A Dragon series since the beginning. So maybe they might be an aspect of design they bring over?

I am using my imagination and...3d beat em mode confirmed. Thinking about it; unique enemies with stripped down move sets that require different fundamentals from the player to beat without getting overwhelmed by enemies, could be fun and also helpful. Full circular moves would have a new use in such a mode too
