From what i heard its good for a video game anime and the story is actually coherant. Think of it as the XMen of comic book movies. Which is good enough for me in todays modern world of generic spewed crappy clone animes.

But dont take my word for it da Da DAT!!

I remember that I saw the first few episodes I think, where Akira is a comical character who likes garlic dumplings /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif. He unvoluntarily gave Pai a garlic kiss, which made her quite angry.

    UNMENTIONABLE

Thanks for the heads up Phoenix!

If you geek on VF then you'll probably dig these cartoons. I hesitate to apply the term anime and if what you are expecting is anime then you might be disappointed...they have a little bit of a saturday morning feel to them sometimes, but the pace & writing is pretty damn good and when it isn't good, it's too funny for you to complain. Check'em out...me & the fellas laughed our asses off.

Well my favourite part is when the announcer explains the moves. I like his over enthusiastic tone /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And if you want to know the the voice behind the announcer is Lau's voice and also the announcer in Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star in the US)

It just ain't our Akira /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. The "anime-character archetype" Akira in here is similar to Vash, Kenshin, etc (well, same goes to Ryu in the SF tv series). I was really expecting him to be something like... you know!

You Spam Palm of Doom addicts only get to see it on the last episode vs Dural, hehe.

I like in one of the later episodes when Jacky does a brainbuster (VF1 & 2 P+G throw) to one of J6's robots and in another one where Jeff goes berserk and Xpd's some poor sap. A good laugh indeed.

P.S: Btw Sal have you ever heard the Hispanic version of the theme song by Doblaje? "Lucheras para el libertad!!..."

Yeah, it's actually not bad but only 12 episodes tho. Akira's a complete moron, but in a good way and Pai is annoying in a bad way. I give it a thumbs up. Does anyone know if they already made episodes featuring Lei and Vannessa yet ? And where can we find other episodes ? Thanks.

From what I see on gamestop.com it says the set has run time of 625 minutes, didn't say how many episodes. For over 10 hours of watching I would say its a good deal for only $35. I think it will be kind of cool to have it running while I'm playing VF

The website was wrong; the set is 300 minutes with 12 episodes

If you do plan on spending your cash on this dvd, i STRONGLY suggest you keep the receipt so you can get a dvd ripper and copy the whole dvd on you pc. Then you can ask for a refund or exchange for something else
