Virtua Fighter Quest Revealed...

Apparently, Sega has released details for Virtua Fighter Quest. From what I've read, it is indeed coming out for the PS2 and the Gamecube. Here is the link to the official site.

Asian BBS goers are puzzled as well as I am since apparently the initial impression is that this game does not seem to have anything to do with the virtua fighter series. Until more details are released, I'll hold out my judgement. I am, however, rather disappointed with what I see so far. The game seems "mega man" like.

The story goes somewhat like this.... roughly translated from what's given on the sega site.

The game takes place in the near future. In a marine city called Acropolis lives the main character, a 14 years old young boy. The action RPG story unfolds in a virtual reality world called Nexus. The boy is a treasure hunter who accidentally gets involved in a scandal in the alternate world of Nexus, and becomes deeply involved with the dealings of Judgment Six and the Virtua Fighter Tournament. The boy will obtain the data and the secret techniques of the fighters in the tournament, and unfold a fascinating story with the various characters.

I don't wanna make another post and further extend this topic, I was totally messing with you Srider. Of course you are not gonna know. If you check the link I provided it goes to Fishie's post of thread. I just wanted to show that there was already a thread, before people got carried away and started repyling/posting opinions/etc. on another thread....it's kinda like the Matrix threads *cough*

 

LOL, i'm not asking for information. Why would I search for a topic that's not even half a day old before I post it. If anything, I did a rough translation of the background story for you guys. I guess consider this as my contribution to fishie's thread.
