"Virtua Fighter is the only fighting game with no story"....

Virtua Fighter series HAS a story, lore, relationships between characters and story line across all game parts, but this is hidden or scattered.
    - some info in Games manuals
    - some info from anime
    - some info in Pachinko
    - etc

Lets find and gather ALL VF lore info in ONE place (post your info/links/videos here in this thread) > and then make a COMPILATION of entire VF series story, > and post it here on VFDC and Wiki...

    1) Most complicated i found:
    https://marriedgames.com.br/en/analises/a-historia-de-virtua-fighter/
    https://www.destructoid.com/blogs/V...as-a-story-virtua-fighter-month--403756.phtml

    2) VF's lore videos (by Virtua Bros) playlist:

The only story lines available on VFDC are those found in the official game manuals or similar publications. The wiki has the latest (VF5FS/US) story lines on each character's index page, however, for past versions the official storylines are buried in an old section of the site:

    https://virtuafighter.com/vf4/
    https://virtuafighter.com/vf3/

Some day I'll get these transcribed across into the current wiki. Depending on how this thread turns out, we could potentially create a "story" sub-page for every character where all of this historical content may reside.

Well, Sega used to include aspects of the story & lore on the official VF websites. But there is none of that to be found on this official Sega site.

    https://virtuafighter5us.sega.com/lang/en.html

So it doesn't look like Sega/AM2/RGG is invested in promoting Story & Lore for VF these days.

The ironic thing is that Sega is trying to promote VF as an e-sports title, but all the e-sports fighting games that I'm aware of, all have Story & Lore that the game publisher promotes by including Story & Lore in the actual game in some fashion. Yet there is no Sega/RGG supported Story & Lore anywhere to be found in VF5US

A none exhaustive compilation of VF5 pachinko videos with small notes and comments from me.

    Pai and Lau

Pai is shooting a movie. During the filming, something anormal catches her attention at the top of a building not far away. A J6 terrorist is about to commit a bombing attack. When Pai notices the evil plan, she immediately alerts people around her. But the bomb burst, Pai manages to avoid the blast thanks to a nice roll technique. She does not intend to stop there and tries to pursue the terrorist on top of the building (we see a running session on the stairs). Pai finally find the bad guy and tries a jump kick towards him but but a bomb goes off and allows the terrorist to escape.

Another scene on the stone stage from vf5.
It's raining and some bad guys from J6 attack Pai. She manages to defeat one of them using a sword (actually a sword item from the game). While there is still a group of bad guys to face, she feels the presence of a powerful opponent not far from here, it's Leifei. We see a flashback about moments of joy shared with her father, the hard training she had with Lau during his prime. Then we see an older Lau still training but weakened by his illness (he caught during his training). Pai is secretly observing him and we can see during the scene how Pai cares and worries about her father.

Back to the present, the young woman runs to another place which remind Leifei's stage in fs. Pai see her father being manhandled in a fight against the evil shoalin. Lau is seen coughing and struggling against (in the story of VF, Leifei is an undercovered evil agent sent by his organisation to Kill Lau because of his attempt to masterise a banned and prohibited martial art, but Leifei will outpass his initial mission : attempting to learn the secret techniques from Lau for misterious purposes)
Leifei is about to deliver a fatal blow but Pai rushes in to defend his father. Pai and Leifei clash and Leifei tries to kill Pai with a fatal move, but Lau intervenes to receive the mortal blow instead of his daughter. Lau falls to the ground, Pai becomes furious and strikes a serie of attacks agains Leifei who is finally defeated!

Bonus scene in the Leifei's stage fs)
Pai confronts his father in public in a friendly fight and wins the match. We can see Lau shows some proud feelings about her at the end the scene.

    Aoi:

Nothing very exciting but some cool fights and choreographies.
In one scene Aoi is seen fighting against some J6 soldiers.

To enhance the impactfull of her moves we can see some auras embody her (some actually use some parts visual assets of vf5 vanilla menu).
In another scene, Aoi is doing a beautiful kind of traditional dance in her dojo. But in the shadow, Jean is lurking and tries to attack her by surprise but thankfully Aoi replicates immediately, a short flashback show how relevant was her training for that situation).
Motivated by the strength of these memories Aoi is holding on. After focusing again she manages to defeat Jean by countering his attacks with a serie of keys. However Jean manages to get up and recover easily and leaves nonchalantly like it was not the right moment yet to finish the case with her.

    Jackie and Sarah

Some of the most interesting scenes here.
It's very nice to see Jacky and Sarah with a different voice acting, especially for Jacky which has a more competent and far less cringy tone than the tone we know from him.

Jacky infiltrates a J6 base with the help of Vanessa's communicative long distance support. He fights with a group of villains that he manages to defeat easily, then he continues his race in the tunnel but falls again on a group of enemies. Then he access to the area 41 which is about to close by doors. He shortens a fight and uses his speed to cross the passage by performing a sort of super stylish slide to pass in extremis below. The room he is in now is a computer and surveillance room. Through a screen he sees Sarah taken by J6 soldiers. Helpless Jacky observes through the screen her captived sister being transported to another place.

We then see a flashback scene where Jacky helps her sister to escape pursuers affiliated with j6.

    Back to present.
Jacky bursts into a warehouse with his motorcycle, where he expects to find his sister.

A mysterious fighter faces him, it's Sarah but in an evil form who presumably has undergone brainwashing (Beast Sarah). Her look is veiled in red as if she were possessed and she wears her costume D in vf5, namely a red set, black tights and a sinister tattoo on her forehead.

Jacky tries his best to avoid the fight and to resonate with her sister so that she regains her senses. We see B.Sarah having some mind struggling in an inner during the fight as some part of herself wanted to bring her real personnality. Jacky takes the upper hand and she finally regains her memory and passes out in her brother's arms.

A other scene confront again the two brother but in a friendly fight.

    Akira

    Most interesting scenes :

Akira meditating in his dojo. The spirits of the two statues manifest and he strike the first one by stomping a sort of Reppuken on the floor ! xD

Akira fights Goh as rival. We Can see a cool kata exhibition as a flashback from Akira. Akira wins with a cool classic sun dawsk in the background.

    Other scene :
We also see Akira with some members of the cast confronting the final boss. Pai, Jacky, and Aoi teamed as a hero team enters in a large area with a bunch of Dural bodies stoked in there. Suddenly, one Dural is materialising in front of them by merging all the Dural examplars, and that aggregation of many Dural becomes Hyper Dural. The hero team works together to finally deafeat the boss.

    Awesome! Thank you!

Very strange that SEGA still is not possible to add Story mode with game models like this one.
