Wow I hit the wall, I normally do good against Jacky but I ran across a Jacky today who lost to me a few times and then changed his tactic to nothing but DM Beatfist runaway with a few kicks/punches here and there for good measure.

My question is is there anyway good way to kill the beatfist besides ducking the kick afterwards? I'm sure I can space it
out but with that and the DM's it's a pain in the ass. The rest
I can generally deal with but I never was dealt beatfist spam like this before.

So in other words don't get hit by it and have the reaction to duck it. That shit is too fast for me to get that on reaction. Right now anyway. Onlines a nightmare. I probably crouch too much.....errr...low punch haha.

Cool, I beat the tar out of you before the beatfist extravaganza. Next time =) I just played a Jacky that played a LOT like you but better 9th Dan so I put some of my anti-beat fist DM strategy to the test. Beat him 5-2. Now DM is the main problem, but that's for jeff in general he doesn't have many round attacks. I'll just have to bait it more and murder.

Shouldn't be hard since you try and DM every second LP or not. If that was you anyway.

We went 1-1 whatever. Like I play Lau actually my main is Shun Di who you played once and beat. So you tied with my worse and beat my best. Am I supposed to feel bad about it or try and get better? The game gets good when I know what to do about it. When I do, and you still beat me then I'll say "GG" if that's what you're hard about.

I don't lie those weren't good games you simply beat me after the 3rd game for like 5 straight. Primarily due to backfist/DM spam. Noone would look at that game and say WOW. Mediocre games at best on mine and your part.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is full circular and worth over 40% of lifebar if it counter hits . . . is he just evading, or doing evade P+K ?

It was DM P+K, as for the pursuit I didn't try that. It probably should. Worth the fifty fifty versus the return backfist if it hits anyway.

What's the best follow up after the k+g hits btw, I hit against Woodsanos Jacky all day today. d/f p,p hit followed by toe kick hammer but I don't think it's guaranteed is it?

Unless it has a "*" behind it, they all have one key thing that makes them similar: they're all high.

    Solution:

    Duck it, punish it.

I think what Sebo was helpfully trying to say instead of "keep trying to do something you've already said you cant do", was "listen for the sound of the beat knuckle as you guard it, then duck (not /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif) both of the followups on prediction, not reaction."

Eyes-closed training with a partner works wonders. (Thanks Chanchai and Gerald!)

That distinctive swiping sound is now like a giant "free damage" sign in my brain.

I am having some problems of my own against Jacky players.
against string spammers and abare abusers... is 2P the only thing I can do? Even though its highly successful, it feels so dirty doing it...surely there is something else i can do with consistency?

also, what is the best way to approach jacky when you are at 3/4 ring distance in an open ring?

Play jacky for a while to learn his strings. If you feel dirty about doing 2p, jeff probably isn't your character /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif . If hes attacking from really large disadvantages, knee him - double bounce combos work on jacky.

If he's running away, dont approach him, just PKG over and over until he either gets offended and quits, or do PKG ~ P+K once he tries to run in /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

hah, I felt dirty about using it since its so cheaply effective that i beat the guy 10-2 or something stupid like that. he didnt sound too happy with 2p lol.

cool, ill try that for next time. that runaway tactic really pisses me off....

    thanks for the help /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

and i cant not play jeff, everyone else seems so cheesy and lame and unrealistic(er) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
