Uhh just because you have problems beating him doesn't mean he is so deadly. He has high damage potential, but I can beat an Akira a heck of a lot easier than a Sarah or Lei Fei. Yet, those two characters do not have as much damage potential. We all have our personal characters we have more difficulty with. Akira is definitely one of the characters I can deal with the best. If you want to just ignore facts, and just keep telling yourself a generalization so you can justify losing to Akira, then by all means, continue to be ignorant.

I hope people like you stop posting on VFDC altogether.

What the hell does he mean then? What makes a character "top tier and always will be"? He has more trouble beating Akira than other players, and is trying to justify it by saying he is top tier. Give me a break. Akira has so many weaknesses, with his predictable and linear attacks. AM2 did not make him or any other character much more effective than any other character, at least not by intention.

As for my attitude towards Jacky, those are my personal sentiments. No one ever said that personal sentiments should not be stated on VFDC. On the other hand, stating blatant crap like...

... is completely not appropriate, because it's saying we cannot discuss changes for or against characters. Why is it then that he isn't complaining about the comments regarding Lion being toned down? Oh right because he thinks Akira is unfairly powerful, due to his ignorance.

As for Yoho, I understand now. I thought he meant the Yoho input was changed.

GodEater, since I don't read Japanese, it is a bit hard for me to do translations? I'm here to post my responses. Anyway, I am just really frustrated at the lack of maturity here. You can't blame me for being vocal. At least I am not telling people that they shouldn't discuss anything regarding Ver.B, or telling people to fuck off and play the game, etc., like some people here.

Guess what? If you play any sort of competitive game, you're going to run across unpleasant people. There's plenty of "asswipes "even across the Pacific. I played against a really annoying backdashing freak today who I wanted to chke.

Anyways, a few words in regards to Vanessa changes:

- OS throws no longer suck. Sega, I love you.
- Haven't noticed any big animation changes for anything, myself...
- Boomerang Hook is now a lot more advantageous to use. It still has slow execution/recovery, but now it is far harder to dodge. In fact, I got nailed the other day trying to dodge another Vane using it. doh!
- Oh no! OS got damage reduced by two points! God forbid!

What I REALLY want for Vane is the ability to choose stance before the fight (like how Jacky could shift his stance before the round started in VF3). Maybe in version C, ne?

I know. I used to be a HC Q2/Q3 player (very competitive game a few years ago), and there were many unpleasantries there. But more rudeness than total lack of maturity. Perhaps more VF players are early-teenage boys than I previously realized.

As for starting matches, why did AM2 get rid of crouching at the start anyway? /versus/images/icons/frown.gif I really miss that. I loved just bobbing up and down at the "FIGHT ONE, READY...". /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

While I don't agree with the way bungle likes to make his points, he's actually right (my opinion only). Akira's always been sega's golden boy, he isn't relinquishing his #1 (or at least top three) position any time soon. The changes don't really merit any handwringing. None of these changes do, gamebreaking balance changes are gonna happen when sega gets too happy with the "let's make this move/character really good" mindset... not from the conservative "let's tone this down by a few frames or points" mindset.

Valiance also has a good point, this thread was 100% informative (with scattered bitching but that's normal) and now it's rapidly degenerating into something stupid. That isn't 100% on bungle's shoulders, you can studiously ignore him rather than give him ammo to snipe at you with.

I don't remember if every character got done or not, but if we missed shun or something it can be done in a new thread. We don't need to pollute this one further.

you do not need to swear and carry on to be an unpleasant person. and your total lack of comprehension and your ridiculous logic is what makes you unpleasant to me. i never said anything about my ability to play; i never said that people shouldn't discuss the changes (you goddamn moron, read my post to blonde_one); i slagged spotlite for whining about akira, something that always pisses me off royally because there's a lovely double standard here - if you bring up any complaint against akira, you'll be overcome by dozens of starry-eyed akira fanboys who will gnaw on you like a rabid chihuahua (spotlite was the one who first coined the term "whining cunts" for people who had issues with akira, the list of which was varied and had plenty of excellent players). but! the minute those same people hear news of any sort of akira downgrades, it's mass whining filling the air.

on a side note, this sort of thing exists for other subjects. the minute you utter any sort of complaint against a style (say, machi) or tiering or how powerful a character is or so on, and regardless of who you are or how well thought out your argument is, you're more often than not slagged and railed as a whining incompetent jackass by slobbering fanboys and/or total morons who believe vf is Perfect, utterly and completely, and that sega has never done any wrong.

BlondeOne, the problem people have with you on this board is that you seem to lack respect, especially when it comes to people who have been posting for quite a long time now (>3 years). By stating what I've quoted above, you make yourself look idiotic to people - including myself - who have been around here for years, and know just how useful people like bungle's posts here have been. And even though he is modest enough to acknowledge that there are a handful of people who seem to dislike his posts (usually because they misunderstand his main points due to the sometimes confrontational tone he - usually justifiably - uses), there are still many, many people who are glad he still posts here.

Personally I know very little of VF post-VF3tb, so I'm not going to comment on the VF4 related stuff the two of you are arguing over. But I will say that as a long-time reader of this forum, I know Bungle to be a more worthwhile poster than you are. Him discontinuing his posts here would be a negative thing for VFDC - he is easily in the top three most useful posters here (i.e. since versus city began).

And, no, this is not me asslicking bungle. I just wish people such as yourself would actually read his posts properly before getting confrontational about stuff he never actually said or implied. Then we would be able to enjoy the forum more, without every lengthy thread having to be dissected into 'useful stuff' and 'the childish aftermath'. I can't be the only one who would prefer threads to be held together in their entirety. Splitting threads due to immature bitching is bad for the future, too - when someone comes to archive particular threads it's going to be a bitch trying to re-merge thread-halves from years ago, etc. etc. Not that this is a criticism of Creed, etc. - once the childishness started it was necessary to split the thread. Anyways, enough.

You're quite right - it was valiance who expressed his wish for bungle to quit posting. my mistake.

generally though, i stand by what i said. my post wasn't a specific "attack" on blonde one; more a generalised criticism of people hastily attacking bungle based on their own misunderstandings (something blonde one and valiance have done in this thread [including the sister thread]). i think the reason i mentioned blondeone more than i perhaps should have is that he has been the one in the past who has - like valiance now - started petty arguments which began through misunderstanding and unjustifiably attacking "veteran" posters (not just bungle).

the point of my post was to show people like valiance - and all those who take offence to bungle's posts - that there are actually people who benefit from bungle's info and can see where he is coming from in his line of explaining his points. Not everyone agrees with the line "bungle should stop posting altogether" etc, etc.

Ack, i'm just waffling now...

But, if anyone is thinking of replying with flames, please don't bother. my posts genuinely have not been written to directly piss anyone off. no, really.
