Wake Up (tech) invincibility in FS

The wakeup invincibility frames during a tech roll or quick rise seems different to me in FS. It feels like the invincibility period is longer, as I found myself completely whiffing in some cases.

Also, I could not get classic back stagger (wrong tech situations) to work, it seems to me so far that those are gone now.

For example, if I float a crumpled opponent which leaves that character face down and head towards, I can no longer get a free back stagger from a move like sidekick if they tech the wrong way (to the side in this example).

Curious what others can find or confirm [IMG]

I'm trying to figure out too this invincibility.
Since i'm from SF4, i don't understand why my meaty lose to rising low attack. Looks like the opponent is invincible during the attack until the active frame

Cnul - yes, opponent on the ground will not be hit until active frame of rising attack.

Ok so we can describe rising attack (mid and low) in Virtua Fighter like the shoryuken move in Street Fighter.
I never think about those moves this way before. Nice to be aware of that

Yes the back stagger are gone. However, the opponent is still considered crouch while TR or QR, so a well timed side kick can give you +8 or use a low throw if you character has ones.
Also I feel like it's difficult to evade after techrolling now, at least that's that I found while testing some records on Aoi crumple combos post options.

Did someone has information about a longer invincibility time if you decide to stay neutral after wake up ?

I record jean do a throw and after that i do 2k to try to hit my opponent ( i know that doesn't make sense in VF but anyway). Now when i replay the record, i get hit by the 2k if i try to input a move after i wake up ( i don't speak about rising attack).
If i do nothing the 2k of jean whiff and i have time to counter (in blue) jean during his recovery with anything
