Sorry for the delay on this (been dealing with other VFDC issues), but my priority right now is to get the Wiki up and running again. I've almost finished the VF5FS system guide, and then I'll be creating basic templates for others to populate.

Once that's done, my priority will be to either integrate the Combo database into the new forum framework, or, work out a way to authenticate users in order to edit the database. My preference is the former, but if too troublesome, will go with the latter.

For now, I hope that prospective "specialists", with the use of unlimited editing time on posts, have been doing what they said they would in the character forums.

Feck, you mention "command list" a number of times but are you really referring to the "combo lists"?

The URL column is easy enough to do.

But as for the basic vs max damage lists, I had always envisaged for the combo lists to have more filtering options such that you could choose to show:

• Basic combos: only show combos that work against all characters
• Max Damage: only show maximum damage versus selected character

This is pretty timely in that I've recently got user authentication for the Combo Lists working against the new forum on my local development environment. I'll look at implementing these suggestions and roll them out to VFDC soon.

Got the functionality working, now just tidying up the front-end.

The way it works is the Filter now lets you select "Versus Character" as an option:



Then the remaining selection boxes will change to show a single character drop-down list:



From the character select list, if you choose "All", then it will only show combos that work for all characters (this is the Basic Combos suggestion by Feck):



Otherwise, if you choose a character, then it will only show the combos that work versus that character (example vs Goh shown):



The last example is how I've chosen to implement Feck's "max damage" suggestion. That is, you filter on your character of interest, and then you can sort on the "Dmg" column to easily see the maximum damage combo for that character.

Hope you guys will find this useful. Once I finish tidying up the front end, I'll be rolling this out to VFDC along with opening up the combo lists for edit by the (yet to be announced) "Character Specialists".
