Washington players? No Way!

Anyone play in the State of Washington? I want to believe I am not the only guy playing this game. So reply. I'm in the Seattle area (student at UW) so it would be nice to be able to play real human beings around that area instead of...computer.

 

only person who I know of goes by the nickname chanchai on this board. He's been playing quite a while, he's either in washington or oregon I think.

sup WA players i live in gig harbor but i'm always up 4 some vf comp so when do u guys wanna meet?

 

I'm from Oregon, but I can probably travel up to Washington next week or the week after to play if anyone wants to organize something. Doesn't have to be big or anything, just wouldn't want to travel up there for nothing.

However, I might also happen to be in the area to play VOOT with the VO players in the Auburn/Seattle area anyways.

I'm up for playing! After this week anyways.

I will also try to bring some other Oregon players, but it's kind of hard to do that since everyone has their own unique schedule these days. Most likely it'll be just me going up there.

I've been doing well /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Grades are going well. Tennis (my latest addiction for at least 9 months) has been getting better and better. And stuff like that are going quite well.

VF-wise, I've only been playing on average of once (once actually representing play time of only a couple hours to about a period of 5 days) every two months for the last 10 months.

However, oddly enough--each time I get back to the game, I feel like I'm getting better. Control, reaction time and reflexes, playing what the game gives me (as opposed to what I want to force in the game), etc... However, I haven't played VF with the top U.S. competition since May. So in the end... VF's been slow, but actually good to me lately.

Of course, you and I have never played each other, but hopefully we will get to soon /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'd definitely like to arrange a day or two either next week or the week after where I can come up and meet with you guys and play some VF. That is, unless some of you guys want to travel down to the no-sales-tax arena that is Portland. I can try to arrange something for that, but nothing big.

Would be fun to meet the Washington VF players /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Finals for UW end for me Wednesday of next week. I have been playing Akira as of late. I feel as if I have broken my Hori stick doing DLC...I can't say I am even half way decent, as I have never played a human player on VF4. At the U, all we play is SC2 and Tekken.

Chanchai...damn you know Oregon is a hot bed for tennis. I remember getting my ass whooped by the likes of Aaron Spencer and Keen Feeder a few years back when I was in junior tourneys (then again, who didn't get their ass whooped?)...

 

Don't worry, whatever your abilities in VF4 are, we'll have fun. Still hoping to get a chance to play with you guys sometime within the next two weeks. Maybe the 21st (next Friday) or something?

I'll be moving up to Portland in a month if you ever want to get a match or two on. I actually had taken a break from VF for a long time until I went up to look around for apartments and daycare last weekend and I played a few times at the Lloyd Center arcade. Got me going again. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The offer to get together to play is, of course, open to anyone. The more the merrier.

Thakns for the invite. I'm up for playing some time, maybe next week.

However, there's a few good players up in Portland you can play on a more regular basis with. I'm only in Portland on occasion because of school and what not.

Anyways, the person to look for up there is Ray. You can leave a message or something for him at Lloyd Center (at Tilt). Most people there will know who he is and he's playing Evo these days I hear. Also, he does read on this forum every now and then, doesn't post much.

Thought I'd let you know since he's way more likely to give you a somewhat regular fix for VF than I am. But I definitely would love to meet up and play sometime.

Well guys...I'm not sure how many people I can convince to play this game...but I'll try. Jason Chase is in Japan right now and seems to think that he'll start playing VF when he gets back. I'm going to try and practice up w/ Goh and Vanessa...get ready to learn for the next time I visit Vancouver.

I'll be trying to convert the SC2 players...wish me good luck.

Well...I should be up @ UW area this coming Sunday. I'm hoping to play SC2 w/ Rob and Dave. FOB...maybe you can get out there and practice up on some SC2...and we could hopefully convince them to play some VF4:Evo. Eh, I'll bring my PS2 anyways...and maybe we can hook it up on the TV in common room or some shit.

There should be a gathering at my place in Federal Way this Thursday. People usually start showing @ 8:30pm...but I might be able to get there earlier. Ask Dave about it. I'm pretty sure he's coming down.
