WCG 08 Virtua Fighter 5 USA Qualifiers update

The first Virtua Fighter 5 online South Qualifier for the 2008 World Cyber Game USA Championship has ended. Eddel "ChieF Flash" Dioquino coming from LB beat John "Konjou Akira" Rodney 3-1 and 3-2in the finals. TEddel "ChieF Flash" Dioquino will now compete against the winners from the second and third online South Qualifiers (registration closes May 25 th and June 20th respectively) and Southern wildcard winner for a chance to advance to the US Finals.

I'm also registered for Atlantic #s 2 & 3. Even though i qualified from Atlantic # 1, can i participate in those, and systematically eliminate as many others as possible, thereby increasing my chances?!?!

Nowhere in the rules does it say that i cannot, so please clarify.

Adam you might want to find out about the offline qualifiers too. You might not be able to attend that one as well. I am pretty sure that's also for a spot into the US finals.

 

AdamYUKI, this was on the email I got for the 2nd Atlantic Qualifier.

"Remember, if you have already qualified in a previous qualifier, there is no need to play in another one and you will be removed if you register once more. If you fall under this scenario, please let us know so that we may remove you from the tournament, thanks!"

 

I still have time for the other two qualifiers...hmmm...

QUESTION:

Why are people from the East Coast allowed to play in the West Coast Bracket? I noticed quite a few EC names in the upcoming WC event.

Main reason for concern is connection and the lag that will be involved.

I asked WCG about this as I fought some people from Canada. They didn't really answer my question, they just told me to report it if I have lag problems. So most of us decided to enter as much of the divisions. I entered all except for the West bracket.

You should contact them about your concerns.
