I created this thread so there's a central spot for everyone to post their WCG vids and photo's!

I´ve got some nice vids I'll upload and I know there´s some other people that made some nice vids/photo's.

Damn it was so close. I wish we could've seen Itazan vs. Adam. Congrats anyway Adam for putting up a great fight, and a great 3rd place!

By the way did anyone notice how much damage Itazan's last combo did in the last round against Danny? Christ!

Really good, patient Jeff from Adnan and a fantastic 3rd place finish. Having played Adnan a ton of times online I see a bunch of moves missing from his regular play style that likely got eliminated because A) tourney nerves B) a lack of playing leading up to tournament.

still, that was an ultra tight, close fight. Wish it had gone differently but good win from Danny.

Did danny ever use Akira at all during the tournament? I was hoping to steal some of his leet strats. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

He did use Akira otherwise, but used Kage vs Adam and Itazan.

By the way if Akira is Danny's main why did he use Kage against Adam and Itazan?

I really don't know Danny's true reasons, but speaking from experience it's really hard for Akira to punish Jeffry properly. He has too many moves that just add up to safe. The way one which cripples him is the godly /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif. This move is extremely annoying if you don't have an easy quick excutable mid attack. Since you have to buffer /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, it's really hard to always defend and have this move auto loaded. I think in the first vid you see adam doing his patent /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif setups which led to a middle kick one time then something else the next, then eventually to K.O. for the round. The next time Danny quickly punished him and you will see Adam stopped. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is really not a great move and is at the same time. It's only 16 frames so it's almost impossible to block on reaction. Hence the reason everyone gets hit by it. If your character doesn't have a quick elbow of something similar this move and can be really annoying and almost abusive. Jeffry / Akira match has always been fairly even, but in VF5 if Akira is not getting throws or launch Jeffry there is pretty much no hope of him winning. We have all gone up against Adam's iron defense and amazing fuzzy guarding ability.... For any player who can pull of this amazing skill it's pretty hard to beat with Akira, unless the user is just as skill in the same areas. Sure you can guard break, but that's only going to work just a few times against those types of players. Often when they sense guard break they will just take the hit which leaves Akira at a huge disadvantage. Awesome moves if you block'em... Super bad if they normal hit.

I'm assuming Danny went with Kage for his ability to poke and tick off damage. As you can see by the vids there was nothing to fancy just excellent poking. 15 points here, 25 points there... rinse repeat, occasionally get on a roll and before you know it any character has lost 1/3 - 1/2 or more.

Question: why buffer elbow? won't punishing with a double palm work after blocking low?
