According to Shou, it is Itazan who is representing Japan. I guess we'll know for sure very soon. It's totally a nightmare scenario:

Itazan's Shun + 5 rounds = Slaughter (it's not like he needs the 5 rounds, but still...)

Koedo = Forget about even taking a round! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

 

I don't think they're doing 5 rounds in the finals. At least I hope not!

They have 2 qualifiers. 1 for Asian WCG(Singapore) and the other for WCG Finals(Germany).

I personally asked Itazan and the Japan Organizer when they were in Singapore. And also, the JP WCG website stated the prize already /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif http://www.worldcybergames.jp/2008/jpnchamp/prize.html

So yea, its definately this coming qualifier that will decide who will go to Germany.

Shou probably got the old news(Asian WCG).

The rules stated its MAXIMUM of 5 rounds. First to 3 rounds will win. Which means, the usual settings. So no Shun slaughtering everyone /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

PS: We should have a 3v3 team tourney for fun while we are at Germany /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

 

Unless Itazan wins the coming qualifier /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Adam! Did you get the email I sent you yesterday yet? Anyway, probably right about Shou referring to the Asian WCG, so there still might be a chance you'd have to deal with Koedo after all, haha.

Manji: Good luck to you this time! Even though I didn't have time to register for the tourney, I think I will come to see you guys compete considering Cologne only being 2 hours approx from Mannheim.

Can someone give me a heads up on who are strong players at this tourney? Also what are the characters of all the players? Any help from anyone would be apreciated.

 

Hey Rayne, you going too?! That would be absolutely wicked! I'm waiting for a response from Adam concerning the hotel he's staying at etc, but I'm more than certain that I will be going. Thinking of staying there from the evening of the 5th till the 10th. What about you? And, are you bringing your guitar with?! Haha. I've got mine safe and sound here in Germany with me. Had to pay for an extra seat when travelling with Ryanair, hehe.

 

Hey Rayne, in your group you need to watch out for Danny, his Akira is truly awesome, and Manjimaru good Akira too though he may not play Akira? (sarah?..)
I'm not sure who the other players are in the group but if you practise hard you stand a real good chance against them.
In the other groups, Japan, Usa, singapore, Korea, Sweden too if they send a player, are usually the strongest. (what about Norway Gutti? or are you just going for fun? )

 

I think participants will be staying at player villages which are some kind of hostels..

I wouldnt mind otherwise but im thinking of a possibility of taking a xbox there with me to train (I have a spare xbox) and im worried about safety of my belongings at a hostel.

ps. Opti, I play Akira as main in offline. In online I play Sarah often to cope with the lag BS as much as I can.
