WCG screwup

Akmal computer isn't working at the moment but he called me to inform me that WCG gave him a check for third place even though he placed 2nd. On the main site they have Flash as coming in 2nd..how did they screw this up? Flash I advise you to contact Akmal

they sent me 2 stipend checks /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I keep forgetting to notify there bank so I can send one back since I have already deposited one of them...

Not to defend WCG, cause they are totally disorganized, but they probably mixed it up with yall asking the guy at registration about konjou picking up akmaal & denkai's travel stipend.

Akmal - I'm not picking sides just calling it like an adult... Personally to me this thread is completely pointless because this is a WCG PROBLEM and not a Flash problem. I understand the reason why you would want to reach out to him and make sure he doesn't spend the money, but really it's not his problem. WCG fucked up and WCG is the only one that can fix this. It is not his responsibility to forward money to you so you should really extend some sort of appreciation to him for making such a huge effort.

All that needed to be done was contact WCG and notify them of the error. If you are unable to reach someone you could have asked around and eventually it would have gotten to me and I could have given you Craig or Paul's DIRECT CELL phone number. They most likely would have told you to either deposit the check and they would send you another check with the difference once they investigated the situation. From there I am sure they would have contacted Flash and ask him not to deposit his check or if he had done so to please return the extra money since technically it does not belong to him.

I know you and Flash have beef within VF since the NJ tournament but I am really disappointed by the lack of maturity on both of your parts outside of the game. Me and Adam share countless years of beef within VF, but thankfully it has never really affected our friendship outside of the game and hopefully it never will. I think you should have just PM'ed Flash and overall spoke a little more respectful as an adult.

Flash - I am disappointed in you too. Why add fuel to the fire by retaliating with verbal comments that both you and I know are completely against your character? I understand that as a man if someone puts your back against the wall then naturally it makes you feel you have to react and fight your way out. Just because he makes a threat doesn't mean you have to make one too.

The other thing I am extremely disappointed about is this; we all know that you came in 3rd place so the moment you received the wrong check you should have taken it upon yourself as an adult and contacted WCG. Why take the risk of implementing yourself as a shady dishonest person? I know you are not and I know that you would never defy your friends right? Even if you needed the money right away you should have notified WCG and they could have either sent you out another check which would have arrived within days or maybe even said "hell deposit the check and just electronically send us back the difference." I have no clue how they would have done it, but notifying them immediately would have been the right thing to do. Akmal may have been in the wrong by his choice of words but two wrongs damn sure don't make a right.


Overall I think you both owe each other an apology and whether you choose to do it in an open forum or PM is totally up to you! The reason I feel I have to say such things is because to me both of you guys are like family. The way I see it is at some point is the both of you will be here with me at my place in the near future chilling and playing hopefully some VF5R. So as family I think you guys need to learn to function outside of the game and put your indifference aside. If you guys keep this shit up most likely one of you will definitely get hurt. NEC is approaching and the both of you may most likely be there. Can you imagine how fucking tense the air is going to be when you two are in the same room? Personally I know I wouldn't want that type of shit at my house and if you two pop off arguing I would hate to ask y'all to leave because you can't function as adults and just argue within the game. Please speak through PM from now on and try to respect each other from here on out.

Just to let you know, Adam has already notified Paul Brewer about the situation since they are both flying on the same plane to Germany. I am sure he will look into things the moment he gets a chance as it's still many, many hours before they get to Germany and check into there hotel. Adam will do whatever he can while he is there and will be looking out for the both of you. Once again I personally think this is a WCG payroll problem and they are the ones that should be handling this whole thing. If you guys want to create a lot of red tape on your own then that's up to you. Just please try to respect each other like adults and get along. My apologies if either of you takes what I have to say the wrong way, because I am not choosing sides or trying to offend. I just love my friends and would hate to see us split in groups when we are all hanging out together because two people can't get along.

Denkai - Shooosh niggah shoosh don't intervene I know you and Akmal are friends, but I think you should let him and Flash handle there own problem as adults. Hopefully in the end they will see that this is some dumb shit expected of 17 year old idiots and not the perfect gentleman that they are.
